How's it holding up? I understand that in 2018 BMW started to really focus on reliability and hope that's the case.
@chrisginoc11 ай бұрын
@@plutonium9 We barely have 21k miles on it and it's been a dream. Best suv we have ever owned. The key with reliability is keeping up with maintenance and oil changes often. Knocking on wood for the next 21k miles. My only complaint was the stupid run flat tires they come with stock. They get to sh*t after 12 months. I replaced them with non run flats and it's so much better now.

Definitely love the sporty look. When it comes to the grill, I wish they would keep it in the front of the car and not take it up to the hood. But not a deal breaker. The interior features, probably the best I’ve seen in an SUV 🙌.

I own a x7, the 3rd row is comfortable for adults just like you are in the second row, just adjust the second row seat forward.
@703Speed3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I could totally see that. I was actually surprised as to how comfortable BMW made the third row. A lot of manufactures overlook the third row for some reason
@joesinkovits65913 жыл бұрын
Yes, you have to get the 22” wheels- if you love having your tires blown by our crappy pothole-riddled American roads, at least in Illinois. I know- I had them on my beautiful 7 series and blew three tires in a year. Unfortunately, I traded that beautiful car in for a new Range Rover Autobiography which was the biggest piece of garbage since the Licks-ass LS I was dumb enough to buy. I had the piece of shit Rover for only three months and it went in for service 5 times. I finally ate crow and crawled back to my BMW dealer who put me into an awesome X7 M50i in Carbon Black with 21” wheels, albeit I took a blood bath on the trade (Land Rovers hemorrhage value like you wouldn’t believe.) But I don’t care-this car is AWESOME! Not one problem in over a year, and I love driving it. And the sky lounge panoramic roof is gorgeous at night. Gonna get another X7 in a year or two!
@703Speed3 жыл бұрын
I have to say I do love Range Rovers, but only the sport. However I don't think I would keep one past 50k miles, which is sad to say in 2021. I have yet to drive an M50i, but would definitely love to given the opportunity. The 40i was definitely quick enough for the average person, but I love my V8's and max engine specs on pretty much everything.. boat, car, etc... I'm glad you are enjoying your X7! It's a sweet and comfortable ride!
@WaywardAnalysis2 жыл бұрын
Getting the 22" ( or any larger tires) is one of the worst purchase anyone can ever make- they are useless off road or wet conditions, provides harsh rides, prone to blow out at 3X the rate, cost more...I guess for race-track NASCAR wannabees they look nicer....but this is a SUV . Does one want to get a SUV that looks nicer to race-track ...loud noise exhaust seeking "enthusiasts"...or a SUV for more comfortable ride, better handling under off-road and wet conditions and lower cost to mantain and much better for one's back. After all, we drive in highways, not race track....

Dope review. Test drove one the other day and I’m sold. Now deciding between carbon black or mineral white with captains seat for 2nd row or not. I have a soon to be 10 and 7 year olds. Tough choices.
@703Speed3 жыл бұрын
Yeah man, congrats! And thank u! I liked the black, however black is kind of a pain to keep clean. If I were u, I’d go with the mineral white (nice pearl white) and get black 22” wheels. That would look killer. Now when it comes to captains chairs or no, how often will you be hauling bigger things? With the captains chairs down, there is a decent amount less storage area than that of the non captains chairs second row. However, I would expect the captains chairs to be more comfortable on long road trips. If I was your kids I would want the captains chairs, but that’s me. Lol

Don't take capitan if you have kids . The space is very small btw them

The U.S. always gets screwed with European manufacturers. Whether it’s the sequential turn signals, or the stupid bumper things that they put on U.S. spec Bugatti chirons. The 22” are a must - they fill the wheel well much better
