Well, it’s officially been a year with this gorgeous 2021 Shadow Grey Metallic Z51 C8 which means an obligatory year of ownership review is in order. Good review! Have a 21 C8 non-Z51 convertible with 18 k on it in the mountains of Colorado. Replaced the all season tires at 15k, perhaps due to fun, curvy mountain roads? Easy to get scuff marks on door panel from entry/exit. Not sure how to get rid of them. Also have wear marks on driver side of GT2 seats where yours are, seems impossible to avoid, and I do not wear blue jeans. “Service front lift” warning just lit up on my dash yesterday, will have dealer check it next week. Cruise control does not hold speed well relative to other vehicles I own on downhill stretches of highway. Had intermittent AC problems cruising across Nebraska in mid-summer. I know it sounds as if I am negative, but really do love the car. Just being accurate. Average 30-32 mpg on long highway stretches at 70-80 mph. My philosophy on this car, although most will not get it, is on my license plate. CUSA-C8 !

The big advantage to the Z06 is that it comes with a factory warranty for all of its performance as opposed to a heavily modified C8 Stingray.

Actually I believe there is a company that'll offer and retain the factory warranty. Gotta double check to be sure.

What size are your Stance SF10 wheels? 19x8.5 & 20x11 or did you go with the 20x9 & 21x12. If you went with the 20/21 wheel size, what tire size did you use? BTW, nice ride you have there.

How did you break-in the car? Did you drive carefully/non-aggressively past the 500 mile mark up to 1,500 miles?

I’m on a couple waitlists to order mine and I’ve gone back and forth on the z51. I’m in FL too and like you’ve done with your car, with the rain here, if I get z51 I would probably switch the tires to Michelin pilot sport all seasons, switch the brakes because of the dust, and switch out the aero stuff for something aftermarket. In the end, it will be like paying a lot more (7k + after just switching to all seasons and paying for z51) just to have the extra cooling, different gearing, and the elsd. Do you still think the z51 was worth it?

Better brakes, cooling ect. Is definitely worth it if you plan on driving it hard. You can always upgrade alot of that in the aftermarket a piece at a time if you choose the base.

It's actually alot better than what most of the reviews claim in my opinion. Very glued, easy to drive.

You do drive it a lot. Good for you. As far as the seat discoloring...it's from the dye in your Gucci jeans. Try some carharts and get your hands dirty and it will go away.

@@silverfoxc8 right on...I was just having some fun. Definitely Gucci flops...The leather on the C8's definitely stains easily. I don't have a lot of humidity where I live. I bet that makes it worse. Try a warranty claim for sure. If that cat gets out of the bag it will cost Chev a lot.

No spacers needed with correct aftermarket fitment. Nice and flush.

Not a fan of Interior color honestly.. but I'm glad you Like It.. you most likely voided the warranty when you got the seat cleaned

It works well with the color theme for the car. I'd really like to see the all red interior someday. The interior was coated and protected prior to the wearing. Alot of owners gave had issues with color loss.
