*WHOOPS* The paint is “Shadow”, not “Shade”. What do you think of this XT4? Not much changes for 2021, but it was more spacious than expected and the 9 speed did quite well with this turbo. Here's the POV drive on my 2nd channel: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5vGm4J3oNlmq80

Love my 2019 XT4. It is the smallest, but very roomy. Very comfortable driving and being a passenger. Perfect size for my wife and I. Did have an XT5 as a loaner for a week. Yeah it’s bigger and more solid for drives, but was happy to get my XT4 back.

I think Cadillac is the only Luxury brand that doesn't force you to get the sun roof bundled in the higher trim levels. It's a stand alone option which I didn't want. Also yes it gets more expensive than the X1, UX or XC40 but it has options that you have to go to the X3, NX or XC60 to get and those will MSRP 3-7K more than the XT4 with those options (Hands free lift gait, HUD, Vented seats, Park Assist). I know I crossed shopped and ordered the XT4

Really great review, Nolan! Wireless Apple CarPlay and AndroidAuto is a great feature. Haha! That was too FUNNY when your phone wasn't there. lol Honestly, I am really attracted to the exterior styling of the XT4. I think that is what's really sealing the deal for me... The vertical headlight and taillight designs are very captivating! I really like how HUGE the rear taillights are, and I love the sleek and mature front headlight layout. As always, your commentary was superb! Looking forward to your next ones, man.

I own a 2017 Cadillac CT6 Plug-in Hybrid with all the options standard. I purchased it new @ Plaza Cadillac in Leesburg , FL. I love the XT4 and would get the Premium Luxury with all the packages offer. Love the Color but the problem is it needs to be a Plug-in Hybrid. I currently get 31 - 33 all electric mileage before the gas engine ( 4 cyl turbo ). I have a 240 V charger in the garage. With current Gas prices I scoot right by into Ocala or the Villiages and home on a single charge. At present the only way I could consider one at the present time would be if I am in an accident or if they were to come out with a hybrid - Plug-in . I love the SHADOW paint color.

Does Cadillac still qualify as a premium brand? Would it compare favorably with a BMW X3, Mercedes GLC, or an Lexus NX? The interior looks bland at best.

Keep in mind that this is Cadillac’s “entry” LSUV. I don’t know why this current generation is so obsessed with screen size in a vehicle. Your eyes should be watching the road and not a video screen. The 2024 XT-4 DOES offer a much larger screen but I’ve heard other KZbinrs complain that even THAT isn’t quite big enough. For what the XT-4 offers it does a decent job. My only complaint is Cadillac has seemed to forget everything from the waist down. The inside door panels are a combination of 3-4 different materials and hard plastic is the dominant factor. I see more of those on the road than the XT-5, which is what I have. The 2.0TT is a great powertrain for that size vehicle. That same engine is the standard base engine for the XT-5 on the luxury and premium luxury model and it’s just not enough for such a heavy vehicle. Spend the extra $1,000 and upgrade to the 3.6L V6. That’s a great engine with a decent amount of power. My only complaint is when buying our 2021 XT-5 Sport Platinum, getting the options we wanted (basically everything) really added to the sticker price. Before any discount(s) or rebates our vehicle was over $68K. Just adding the platinum package added almost $4K to the sticker price. Fully optioned out the XT-4 is a really nice entry Cadillac and offers similar features that the big boys do.

No way worth the money. Typical GM shortcuts to real quality at this proce point: sub-250 HP, only 18" tires, everthing worthwhile is a la carte optional, road noise, etc, The RDX is MUCH MUCH better and at the same price point (after you option out this poor excuse for a "luxury" SUV. Sure, it's sharp looking, but that's about it.

I bought one of these. Sold it within 3 months... NO DIPS STICKS... no one told me this before buying... Apparently a 20 cent sensor, protects the $10,000 engine and the $8,000 transmission... NO THANKS... I like checking a dip stick... Also, the computer monitoring these sensors... it s buried about 87 screens deep to find your oil level and condition. I was able to do it once.. I was exhausted, flipping through so many screens... just to check the oil, STUPID...
@barronmclemore75113 жыл бұрын
It has an oil dipstick right at the front when you open the hood. You are correct on the transmission though. It does not have a dipstick, but a level plug. You fill it under the hood and fill until it runs out the level plug behind the driver wheel.

Premium luxury, and no rear seat pass through. That = (-luxury). Fail. Go count the number of German or Scandinavian SUV's without a pass through. Answer : zero. I want to love Cadillac, it seems like they really want to play. However, like every gm product I find myself saying : "ah, that's cool. That's so smart. Cool, great idea. Ohh that's great engineering.... Aaaaannnd, there it is, the deal breaker courtesy of the the bad decision committee.

Not having ventilated seats as an option on some of the German and Scandinavian options is a much more of a fail in the luxury department than not having a pass through.

I’ve been a Ford guy for 20 years. Was thinking about switching, since the wife like the looks of Cadillac. After really looking, there are so many features we’ve had on our last 2 Edges that most other cars don’t have. We ended up trading our 19 Edge ST on a Lincoln Corsair and love it. Powerful, luxurious, and plenty of tech. About the only thing missing is the wireless CarPlay.
