I also just want to say, PLEASE PLEASE continue these in depth video series. Especially the maintenance type stuff like grease fittings and such. I am not very well versed in atv repair, but I am learning little by little. Videos like these and people like you are a valued asset and my hats off to you for your efforts good sir.

After watching dozens of can am videos, this video is by far the most thorough. I am now very much informed on what to do when I get my outlander, so that I don’t have to replace parts when it’s still new. Great video, I will definitely rewatch it

This was a great video going over all the features! I wish there was a video for all of the models, really helpful. Do you know if its possible to relocate the CVT breather with the rad relocation kit on non XMR models? I was going to add the relocation kit to my XTP but curious if there was an addition to make it more similar to the XMR or is that model specific. Thanks for the video!

I know it's a year since the video is posted and maybe you already know the answer for the brakes configuration. But the reason why the rear axle haso nly one brake compared to the front axle is the fact that the rear axle is connected through the differential. so the brake will slow down both wheels equally. The front wheels are disconnected from each other and are powered by a differential at the engine housing by 2 smaller axles. there for 2 brakes are needed. if you only put one brake in front, that wheel will slow down but the other side wont, pulling you to one side. Thats why front wheels are dual brakes. Independant rotational freedom.

The guards on the muffler need to be pulled off immediately unless you like the mud and stuff getting baked and then catching on fire. Ask me how I know... As a general rule of thumb for tires, 2" past factory is generally ok unless they are heavy. The actual 30" cryptid is a true 30", pretty light for being what it is and is a pretty good everything tire. I swapped over to 32" intimidators because I wanted more side hilling ability whereas the crytid likes to slide sideways when its slick but the step from the initial 26s I had to the 30s required a new primary so I went with the stm rage 3p primary. Now with the new 32s it needed a bit of tuning on the primary because I lost some low end grunt and saw a bit of belt smoke from a dead stop to wot. That required 2grams on the heel of the clutch arms and its pretty much back to where it was when I had the 30s on. Best bet is to not dick around with the engine but focus on the primary and secondary clutches because all of the power from the engine goes thru those to get to the tires. Also, dont waste your time with the factory brp primary clutch, the moveable sheave can spin on the shaft thus incuring uneven belt wear. That was a brp engineering design which is garbage to begin with, spend the money on an STM clutch and dont even look back.

Maybe they Forget to tell you it won't run because they put 1000 carbs and injector on a 850 from factory. ZERO quality check here sir. They would not take it back. THEY put almost 400km on it before it drove it. Still runs like shit. 2019 xmr850, 900km to date. Burns gas like a quarter mile dragster, and smells the part. A Lemon.
