Wtf you guys talkin about 😂 anyone reading this. Just stay at torque spec and use what’s recommended. I’ve worked in case ih heavy equipment diesel warranty work for 15yrs. I have a 2020 outlander xt and I’ve put 1640mi on it out of the box. All hard riding. Belt just blew up at 78mph. Go back to spec setup. That manufacturer doesn’t want to pay warranty just like you and me. Great video @rotaxrednex thanks

Got 1300miles on my 2024 850. Hit 79 mph yesterday. Changing belt rn. Putting on Gates World Best. Old one looks brand new still though.

If can am were smart like Honda they would put an actual real 5-speed manual transmission or 5-speed manual DCT. That automatic CVT is boring the drive-in they're not reliable. You don't have to work on a Honda. The problem is Honda doesn't have any power if Honda would build a 1000cc Renegade killer it would be on like neck bone

And probably break. Less power less breakage tale as old as time.

No need to remove the foot well. I change mine on my bike in about 20 min.

My little brother was trying to do a donut by holding both the hand brake and foot brake and the atv smoked out. What type of damage did he do ? Because now when he hits the throttle the rear sounds like it jerks.I’m no expert but I’m trying to help him before taking it to a professional.

Where did you find the service manual for the outlanders? Do you have a part number for the book?
@MrT132 жыл бұрын
Emanualonline and just print your own. Every book ever made and you can make more than one.

Are all belts the same size on all outlanders

Just call the dealer man. Then you’ll know for sure.

👍🏻👍🏻 good quick no nonsense video there guy. Maybe one extra tip maybe not. Light light coat of Vaseline on the gasket then I go 2 lbs over first belt change. 3 lbs over second time I remove cover. Replace gasket 3rd time… and back to 7 lbs. when I replace it I wipe the under the gasket surface out with alcohol before new gasket goes in grove. And I clean the screws threads with same rag I use to clean my fingers with the tiny bit of vas on it. Seems to keep the water at bay pretty good. Screws and case threads clean. No problem getting them back off at 3-4 lbs over. Never had water in it yet but it’ll start to leak after 4-5th remove and install. Cheaper than belt obviously so I just change it while there.

petroleum jelly breaks down rubber faster I thought? Maybe use Silicone Oil or Molybdenum Disulfide. Just my suggestion
@MrT13 Жыл бұрын
@@pmolczan I just use cheap Wally brand vas. Use it on scuba tank rings. Pool filter cartridge assembly and basket gasket. Remington 1187 skeet gun gas ring. Mark 23 barrel gasket. Outlander clutch cover. And probably a few other things I can’t think of off the top of my head. But to answer no. Not in my experience it does not do anything to rubber but condition it and make it last a whole lot longer for next to nothing.

Im torn between the 850 and 1000. Can 2 people fit comfortable on the 850?
@rotaxrednex2 жыл бұрын
for two people riding the 1k is def the way to go... but if the majority of the time your running 1 person go the 850, 850 has plenty of power and suspension to handle two people but will be more comfortable for you and your passenger in the 1k...but...for the price and performance of the 850 its a no brainer to go 850!
@MrT132 жыл бұрын
Family farm hunting bike vs best flat decked performer single bike. Definitely notice in capability to stoppage in mud too. 850 goes farther but carries less behind handle bars…
@tylercousins7779 Жыл бұрын
I have the 650. 4500km. My buddy has the 1000. He can chirp the tires on gravel at 50kmh. I can’t. And his Fox shocks are way better for stability when driving like a mad man. Otherwise there is nothing i can’t do that he can do. Mud, snow, hills, traction, speed, obstacles etc. The rider skills are just as important, if not more important, than the horse power.
@shperax2 жыл бұрын
How is this easy? You have a bunch of the bike torn down. All the plastic foot well area is gone. All your plastic above the belt is removed. I can do this without removing any plastic. All you need is a flex shaft torx screwdriver.
@rotaxrednex Жыл бұрын
Good for you sir. But removing plastics is very simple.
