I noticed you have the left foot peg adjusted considerably farther back (almost 2 inches) than your right foot peg. Is that by design, as on a normal motorcycle you don't have that option? Just curious as to why you chose that riding position?

Thanks for recoding and posting this video. A coworker has one. It is a 900cc. I don’t remember if it has a reverse or not. Also, I would like to know about your gloves, coat, gear you are wearing. Looks warm. I live in oregon and riding around on my ‘98 Honda VFR800FI interceptor is sometimes chilly.

Sure thing! Mostly snowmobile gear. If you’re gonna ride bikes under 50 degrees, snowmobile gear is great. Just don’t forget your protective gear too.

My buddy has had one for a while and it's already over 19k and it runs like it's still new. Keep up with service and maintenance and it will run for as long as you have it.

As a person with a disability (Cerebral Palsy) and a desire to ride, also living in Michigan, I'd love to ride. Although, I feel that the rule of having a car license to get a motorcycle license is an unnecessary roadblock for someone like myself, where I want to ride, but would have a harder time operating a car.

Pretty sure the front shocks on that are upside down. I'm seeing alot of conflicting videos sone with spring on the top some with it on the bottom. All the official brp videos show the spring on the bottom. So what up with that??

The coils springs are near the top on a stock Ryker. Aftermarket shocks, the coil is usually longer making it look like the whole thing is covered by coil. Upgrading the shocks to ANY aftermarket is a HUGE improvement over stock.

Thx for the reply tho this inconsistency is bugging me as I've seen stock rykers with the spring on the bottom too...all after market ones I've seen it's on the bottom. Guess doesn't really matter as I do plan on after market shocks any way. Great review vid btw

It's totally normal for these machines. The engines came from the BRP watercraft side of the business and are designed to run wide open throttle all the time. So, in the Ryker, the engine is really not working so hard. But it is different from most other motorcycles.

Eco mode is a joke, I switched to riding in the default mode and it increased my MPG. Verified it on 3 tank fulls.

Shawn Smoak has said ECO mode just artificially leans the fuel/air mixture, causes more problems than it's worth. It's done to satisfy the government. Stay out of that mode. Normal or sport mode for those models that can be selected is all you need.
