Love the shirt Paula. I know this comment is a little late, but who cares. Always love your tomato vids. Juliet is one I've been wanting to grow for a while. Nice crop!

Better late than never! I'm trying out verona this year which is supposed to be very similar to juliet.

Haha the chickens eating tomatoes 🥰 That Atomic Fusion almost looked like a water melon when you cut it in half. And I liked the hanging tomatoes. Really cool and pretty. And DAMN the Berry's are indeed crazy! 😮

You would think a tomato that productive wouldn't taste as good but it's sooo good!

Both Tumbling Tom Red and Yellow lack taste and can lose vigour or die back easily. Th first year I grew them I thought they were okay, but the previous two years they have had hardly any taste and seemed prone to disease. They were some of my worst tomato plants in 2021. I am trying Tumbling Bella (blight resistant) this year, as well as Cherry Cascade and Midnight Snack in a basket.

Always look forward to your tomatoes tour. I love that you showed how they look inside!

I’ll be doing a tour of the larger ones too along with a tasting of each. 😊

Wow Paula, you have a nice tomato garden there, I like that chocolate pear tomato , I have a yellow pear, and a large red cherry I'm growing also black Krim, kellogs breakfast and pineapple tomato,you made me hungry for a tomato sandwich, nice work.
@gapey3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Joseph. I really liked the chocolate pear. I will definitely save some seeds. I've grown black krim and kellogs before and both are very good. Haven't tried the pineapple.

@@gapey the pineapple are a variety that is a very producer but it's one that lacks that acidic (true tomato) flavor. They are truly beautiful fruit, and I will probably grow it again for gifting fruit...but it's definitely not a favorite. I have heard so many rave about green varieties, so I am trying out Harvard Square (along with MANY other new varieties) this upcoming season, hope they will live up to all the hype

Juliet is very tasty when fully ripe and more flavorless when red but not totally ripe.

Good to know. Thanks. I'm not growing it this year but trying Verona which is supposed to be similar.

I’m always so impressed by your tomatoes Paula!They are so hard for me to grow for some reason. Enjoyed the vid!

I usually have few issues with cherry tomatoes. It's the larger ones that are always challenging. I didn't even do a video last year of them I don't think but will do one this year.

You have some awesome tomato varieties . I have to look into those tumbling Tom’s for next season

They are a lot of fun. I might grow them again next year.

Can you spell out the yellow "heart" tomato at 6:30? I can't seem to find it online likely because I can't spell it. :O)
@gapey3 жыл бұрын
The tomato at 6:30 was the Weissbehaarte. It is spelled kind of goofy. :)

What’s the name on the yellow one? Wisebin heart?
@gapey2 жыл бұрын
Close. It’s spelled Weissbehaarte.

There is a yellow variety of Piennolo (Piennolo Giallo). I'm not sure it's what you have tho'. The yellow should have the same shape as the red with the little point on the blossom end. Just an FYI. HTH Does your plant have potato leaves?
@gapey3 жыл бұрын
Those look nice. Mine definitely don't look like that though. I'm not going to bother saving seeds from mine since I don't know what it is and they split terribly easy. I would never grow them again. They didn't taste all that great either. I will have to hunt for some true Piennolo seeds. No, none of my plants had potato leaves this year.

How was the flavour on the atomic grape hybrid?
@gapey Жыл бұрын
The atomic fusion? I don't really recall but I don't think it was very impressive nor was I impressed with brad's atomic grape when I grew it before either.
