I just got one this week and it cost a lot more than mentioned in this video. Camaros have been hard to find in my area and dealerships are charging more. That being said, other than it being a little quieter than I’d prefer, I love the car. While I love the v8’s, that would be overkill for someone like me. I would never use it to its full potential. So I feel like the 1LS is just right for me. It’s a smooth, quick, and beautiful ride.

Nice vid man. I always preferred the V6. It's a happy medium between the 4 cylinders and the V8s. You get good gas mileage, and pay less for insurance and maintenance. Perfect for daily driving.

If I had to get a Camaro I would get the 3LT LE package with the V6, if you add all of the performance stuff from Chevy the V6 almost sounds like a V12 when reving it out.

Lolol damn I have never heard of this now I need to see a video of a 3LT V6 and hear it. The 1SS 1LE with the NPP exhaust was incredible darted, cracked, and popped like an F type

These are fun cars to drive, better than the ecoboost. I've changed my mind on the turbo four. I was set on getting the v6, but after driving a couple, I found a good deal on a 1ls manual. Light, nimble, quick, and comfortable. I'm an older guy and appreciate it for what it is. I've never had a problem with visibility, not as big of a blind spot as the challenger.

Two years ago I purchased a 2019 1LT (V6) with the RS Package. Absolutely love it!! It's a step up from the model you reviewed here but its a great daily. I honestly don't get the hate the I4 and V6 seem to get sometimes. 335 HP and in this case 275 HP is more than enough to have some fun on your daily. Thanks for mentioning the visibility issue as well. Position your mirrors correctly and its a non issue.

What I don't get other manufacturers put 4 cylinders in their sport cars. And people rave about them. But put a 4 cylinder in a Camaro. And gets crucified. Yes I know the V8 is better. But most of us live on a budget. And 4 cylinder Camaro is comparable and better in some ways than other 4 cylinder sport cars.

You are absolutely right my friend it's always a double standard. People rave about NA motors and majority of Lexus cars have an NA engine yet always gets criticized for not having Turbos I find it comical. I think there is a market and a place for a 4 cylinder version of this vehicle, it drives great, low buy in price, and great fuel economy. Most importantly it's still fun to drive

I honestly don't see much difference between the 2.0T and the V6 in performance. 0-60 is almost the same (0.1 difference in favour of the V6). In a quarter mile race, yes, the displacement of the LGX would matter a lot and it would take the lead more obviously. However, on the track, once again, the difference is very small between the cars. Now, where I live, the price difference between the LTG and LGX is nearly $10k. That is not enough of a reason for me to choose the V6.

Love the review, really good value too. I was/am the Mustang GT owner who mentioned changing the bushings etc, 10K into suspension. I had a different screen name. My issue is I really feel claustrophobic driving these Camaros (why I didn't buy them) and at 5-10 with long legs and a short torso, can't see jack. I autocross a friend's SS1LE - It was not fun. Couldn't see the cones clearly or corners of the car. I am seriously considering the CT4/5 V Black wings with manuals as my next ride. All the goodness of the Camaros, but sooooooo much better visibility, interiors and practicality (the trunk of the Camaro is a joke). I get that they are far more pricey.

Yea highlight of that Mustang is that glorious 5.0l v8 one of the best so spending the money to fix up the handling, worth it. Yea good choice on the Caddys they do drive very similar to the Camaro while offering a lot more practicality def an awesome car to look into

These Camaro's have a belt-line that's WAY too high. The windows are extremely small and I never understood the design it just looks like brick. The F-Body Camaro's and Firebirds actually looked badass like a missile. Also the F-bodies were hatchbacks with much better visibility and utility and they all came with t-tops! I think they just wanted to make the new camaro as cheap as possible.

So long as Ford will offer the turbo 4 mustang GM will offer the turbo 4 camero. It’s just how it is. That being said you can build the 4 cyl into one wicked handling machine as they do offer the full SS suspension package, the massive brembos, the 20 inch ZR rated tires. End result? You can start off with a car you like and add as you want. Now for me? I would be looking to get rid of my aging tuned integra as it’s got no AC it’s FWD and while it’s nice it’s not as nice to drive 2 or 3 days a week when it’s scorching hot. It would be a fun/ second car to have fun with. That I can actually justify keeping on my insurance year round and use as needed

I usually agree with you but there's no way buying a 4cylinder camaro is worth the sticker price, that has to be one of the biggest L of a buy out there. LOL, especially with the 1LT beeing such a great value for buyers shopping this kind of car. You said the gas mileage was the biggest drawback of v8 models but im pretty sure they come with cylinder deactivation and easily hit 27mpg cruisin on the highway.

Yea highway driving is going to be fine on the V8 but if you do any type of poundage that sh!t will get like 15 mpg 😆cylinder deactivation is another unfortunate feature of the V8s really hinders long term reliability unfortunately. But yea if one can't get a V8 I think base model 4 is the way to go if you want to tack on any kind of options...save it and get a V8 as the option

I've taken a look at the chevy website for the US and even the base model comes with Apple car play, cruise control, electric seats for the driver, touchscreen, LSD, independent suspension, 275hp, almost 300 ft-lb of torque... In Europe with that kind of money you don't even get a focus ST for god's sake!

Mustangs and Challengers sell like hot cakes.. I think the problem with the Camaro is the low roof, tiny trunk and cramped interior.. All that being said, I'm actually looking into these.. I've seen a few selling for a pretty good price, might pick up an LT1. We'll see..

Instead of a 2.0 turbo 4 you have to wind out to get power, I think GM should offer the 2.5 (2.6?) 4 cylinder out of the Colorado, because of its great torque at launch. I test drove one of the last Impalas with this engine and I was very impressed. That would be fun with a manual! Scotty Kilmer has scared me away from turbos.
