Beautiful trike! But why are you putting your feet down to push backward? Is it easier than using the reverse gear?

Yes, reverse is better, but I use reverse only when I can’t move it. While I hear it is not a huge problem on the newer models, I hated “burning out” the reverse the couple times I did it on my other Trike. I hated needing to take the cover off and flipping the switch. Plus it is great exercise for those thigh muscles.

Greetings, we used to have a 2014 HD Tri-Glide Ultra Classic with the 103 engine. However I found it gave off a lot of heat. How do you find the 117 engine, as far as the heat issue? We now have a Can-Am Spyder RT Limited and couldn't be happier! Safe Travels. 🙂🏍🇨🇦

FYI It's an electric "reverse assist". It works great, but only for shorter distances and not uphill backing. Not part of the transmission. They can wear out sometimes, some folks hesitate to use it, but are covered under warranty. (Unless they changed it for '21.)

Yes, on my other trike it overheated a few times (had to take the panel off and flip the switch), so I got in habit of only using it when I could not back it manually. I hear this is not as common on this trike.
