2021 Dacia Sandero Stepway 1.0 90HP - POV Test Drive & Fuel consumption check

I purchased my new Dacia Sandero 2021 Comfort CVT (Non-Stepway) for 12890 Euros, around 7+ months back, and have driven it for more than 2300 kms till now, Across city roads, Autobahns etc. I must say that this vehicle is very easy and relaxed to drive around thanks to the Automatic Transmission and Electronic Power Steering. It has a 328 litre boot, which is more than enough for my shopping needs. I get a gas mileage of 6.6 L / 100 km, and I am more than satisfied with this vehicle for the price that I have paid. If I have to describe this vehicle in four words....(1) Simple, (2) Smooth, (3) Reliable and (4) Affordable.

That is how the Renault Xtronic CVT works. From what I understand, it uses preset limits for various engine rpm and road speed ranges. This way it doesnt rev like crazy all the time and acceleration becomes more acceptable. Nissan uses the same transmission in many models.

The cvt transforms the dacia into an expensive car. While in the version with the manual transmission we have a humble dacia... The sound of gear shifting with the cvt is reminiscent of large displacement American cars. These automatic transmissions are great, and very nice that you can get them very cheaply, with dacia I also notice that the dash is "pre-installed" for leather, to replace the gray cloths. 😁😁 An orange leather and an orange leather steering wheel will transform the dacia into a super car for very little money! Cvt automatic transmission and leather dashboard. What else could you enjoy on a shoestring budget? 😁😁

You can get LPG fitted to most petrol cars BUT it wouldn't be as seamless as the stock version dacia provides. And it wouldn't be covered by warranty, fitting it later by someone else probably will void the cars warranty. DACIA will almost certainly not offer it as an upgrade later on, its too much work for them in one of their service centres to deal with this, imo. I'd say, if you will find yourself benefiting from the cheaper LPG fuel in the long term, save up the extra money now and get it stock. There are downsides, I believe some tunnels won't let you go though, I live near a tunnel so this might be a reason for me not to buy the LPG version. Also some underground car parks won't let you in. And eurotunnel LPG isn't allowed. No spare wheel. More complicated servicing, more costly???

9,9 L is pretty bad for 1l engine, maybe its because cvt

It's because this is a new car and a test drive car, consumption will stabilise maybe after 2000km, I have this engine on an 2020 Logan and I average 5-6

@@luk1977 no, 5 speed manual Logan 2, the new cars come with 6 speed manual and improved drag coefficient, CVT consumption is a bit higher and I believe 6.5 - 7% average should be reasonable

Cvt doesnt mean 1 gear it shifts automatically

За эти деньги нормуль. Легкий руль, тихая подвеска, современный салон. Шумка слабая, по снегу носит т.к легкая, расход на газе 9л

Labai priklauso nuo oro salygu, kamsciu ir t.t. Ka esu pastebejas, mazo turio varikliai dazniausiai ryja ne taip ir mazai, pvz koks 2.0 turbo ir 1.0 turbo, sanaudu skirtumai bus apie 1l., ar net tam tikroms salygoms - vienodos. Ka laimi mazo turio var. = maza CO2 emisija, maziau mokesciu.

i tested it in real. Even with GPL i never get 9.9L/100km ... I drive it for 1000km and with montain, highway little road etc i got 5.8L/100km in petrol and 7.6L/100 km in GPL.
