Your turning the drag adjustment knob which is different from the drag clicker that's in the spool. You need to turn the spool to engage the drag.

It's a combination of factors why it doesnt spin as long, First, because of the o rings on the sides of the handle entry points that it spins less freely (compared to the exist that has magseal bearings). Second, if the gearing is tighter and teeth are meshing more accurately, it will affect the free spin. Also, the grease might need wearing in like you mentioned.

many of todays quality waterproof reels have o rings at key points and they will impede a reels ability to spin freely all day. as far as drag noise many guys put a lot of credence into this function but it has absolutely nothing to do with the reels drag ability. many reels use a metal arm on the backside of the spool that bounces off the shaft gear to make the clicking sound. tweek the metal arm a bit so it pings off the gear a little harder and you just made your drag clicker louder.

Hey man somehow ended up getting a 3000S-C. Just wanting to ask since we have the same body size, my reel has a open recessed bearing (you can see the balls) on the right side, could I ask if yours looks the same?
@TheSisavath11 ай бұрын
Not sure I understand your question. But I have never open any of my reels so Idk if the bearing are good or bad. I just know that the reel I have works great.

@@TheSisavathJust an update my reels all good 😂. I think honestly there's a fair bit of resistance to the reel, especially compared to a shimano vanford. But its super smooth and light.

I would have to say no. I don’t think bearings are suppose to be visible

Does the reel get smoother as it breaks in? My new airity isn't as smooth or refined as my 2018 exist
@TheSisavath2 жыл бұрын
Yes… but the airity imo is slightly still not as good as the exist.

Do you have the shimano vanquish reel just wondering I heard so much about that reel wondering if it’s more smoother than the Daiwa luvias Airity fc I have two or three of them
