I just started playing this sport as a pastime. I cannot believe how incredibly helpful, encouraging, and friendly this community is. It is also addicting. I can't wait for the next time I can play.

Stay after it brother! I found it a year or so before the post quarantine boom and it’s been so heartwarming to see so many new faces on the course. Nothing I love to see more than people finding new ways to put the phone down and go outside

Same here but the league players in my area are not so encouraging lol I've seen fights and stuff at our main course lol but despite that it is so addicting it is my favorite outside activity and I have been going 3 to 4 times a week for 2 months it truly is an amazing sport to play

The rule says "After having released a putt, the player must demonstrate full control of balance behind the marker disc before advancing toward the target." No doubt that he doesn't demonstrate full control of balance by falling, and if that were the whole rule, I'd agree it was a foot fault. Except it comes with the added clause "before advancing toward the target." Meaning that as long as you fall backwards (or in his case, along the line), you can establish balance first after falling, then advance, and not be at fault.

Why wouldn't he throw it? He has been beating it in since he got it and it is one of the most important discs in his bag. It would be kind of dumb and harmful to his game not to use it. I know that some people retires hole in one discs, but I don't see a reason why to do that. Why not, if they have replacements for it. If you have a disc that works, use it.

I'm not saying he isn't using "the disc" regularly, just that we'd have no way to know.

@@Postermaestro While I agree to an extent it doesn’t change the fact. Conrad’s was high but still 4 to 6 inches under the band and Klein’s had some speed but Rick putts much harder on almost every putt.

@@tylerball9600 Ricky putts way more nose down and pretty much never on an upwards trajectory into the basket and that's why. I think baskets are fine, the only miss I really don't like are dead center spit outs. There is some speed and angle control involved, you shouldn't be rewarded for missing your line that badly, kinda like regular golf.

@@Postermaestro Why don’t they look into narrowing the chain width but increasing the basket width by a few inches? Am I dumb to think that it would make putting more fair? Most pole spit outs would be negated if the basket was a bit wider but by decreasing the chain width it would require more precision. Maybe I’m dumb.

So is 26:06 a foot fault? I've always believed that if you didn't maintain balance inside the circle even behind your lie it's a stroke and I believe Jerm even refers to that. I am genuinely curious of what would have been the correct call.
