2021 Dodge Charger Scat Pack: Start Up, Exhaust, Test Drive and Review

Watching this review cause my 19 y.o. son is in love with this beast. He's been working over a year and I'm helping him manage his money and build credit. I'm worried to put him behind so much horsepower with such a large payment. At the same time, I remember being his age and wanting a GTO with my parents telling me "You buy that car, you can go live in it." Then gifting me a 1993 Nissan Stanza on my 19th birthday and hearing my dad say "I didn't have wheels with a sunroof at your age. It even has a CD player." And cringing when my mom would say "And it's FAST boy!" when in actuality it did 0 to 60 in 2 minutes. Downhill. And that memory makes me say "YOLO Son. Hustle hard and buy this ride!" It's very easy to get into trouble with one of these Scat Packs. If he buys one, be sure the title is in his name so no one can sue you and take your house. Because these are going away after next year, I traded in a Mustang GT for one. And, in my opinion, the Charger 392 has way more cajones--you can chirp the rear wheels without even trying.

I would recommend starting with something with less hp like a gr86 or something like that. Because he doesn’t have a lot of experience it would be very easy to over estimate its abilities and possibly get into an accident. But if you know he is responsible, then hopefully it’ll be fine😊

I like the widebody look on this 4 door torpedo. It reminds me of the magnum and the first gen 300. But it increases drag dramatically, and lowers the top speed of the charger. Plus you won't be able to fit through many drive thrus and the tires will be very expensive

The interior of this car is so outdated though. It is running on the EXACT same layout as the 2011. Yeah they changed a little bit but 2022 needs to have a redone interior. Auto manufacturers are truly fucking the consumer every year.

I can attest that you will not get 24mpg on the highway. Over 20 is good, 21 is the best I've achieved being real light on the throttle. 24 would be down hill with a tail wind. -Still, love the car.

@@antonioreyes2382 i had a 15 rt awd, traded on a 19 srt, traded on a 21 hellcat. The rt would chirp the tires, the srt would spin the tires, the hellcat spins all 4 tires into 3rd gear with traction control off

The biggest difference is the Charger is a 4 door sedan and the Challenger is a 2 door coupe (with back seats).. So just depends if you want that extra space having the 4 doors if you use the rear seat room a lot, if you have kids or just use them more.

@@BrosFOURRSpeed The Hellcat does have more top end HP and speed. But given traction, the larger engine and greater low end torque makes the scat pack quicker to the 600ft. mark on the drag strip. For neighborhood blasts, the scat pack has the advantage.

Thats a tough one. The Infiniti might be a bit more luxurious and have better handling. And the tuning potential with the twin turbo V8 probably can easily out power this V8. Both have a lot to offer

I have a 2020 dodge charger sxt, and well i got screwed with the sticker price cause i paid the full amount for it which was $34K with tax, but they wanted to leave me the payments for $1,100$ a month for 72 months, i was like hell nah i explained to them what i wanted and if we couldn’t get that deal i wasn’t getting that car, i was having some trouble with them, but they got close to my price i wanted to pay at least 560$ a month for 72 months but they gave me a 590$ payment for 72 months so i was like shiiittt compared to how these fuckers wanted to screw me over i took the deal. Insurance is not that good for my age im 20 years old but i can manage. Now i want a scatpack lol. Hopefully in the future. 🤞🏼🤞🏼 also i didn’t give any down payment, and my credit score wasn’t that good i had a 620.

@@mikert3724 I’m debating between the GT or the RT. The R/T is about 5k more and he gave me $900 off sticker plus $3k rebate. I think I could do better, especially on a factory ordered car. The cars in stock, they are paying interest on them each month, so they play hardball. Good Luck in the future.

Depends on your budget and what you'd rather have! The scat pack is fun, but of course the hellcat is much quicker! If you find a great deal on the hellcat, I'd probably get that because it's "cooler"!
