have you check you pre-load? The SF 2020 and 2021 are very soft on front spring for people who weight over 200 pounds with gear. I have a video on how to adjust the front preload if you want to take a look.

Great setup and thx for sharing. What would you advice me for Sport Setup for my Streetfighter V4s, as i am 105kg and 6,16ft?

I'd try the same as mine to start with.

Great video !Did you adjust the front preload ?Im about the same weight as you .You my want to add 8or 9 turns of preload in front .That’s as per my suspension guy here in Canada .He added 9 for me in front .He’s one of the best over here .

Just wondering did you talk to John at Accelerated for that information?

@@ghumnz He’s definitely on the ball! Had him work on my snowmobiles. I wanted to have a two stage spring set up, He exactly know what I wanted and it worked flawless. I think he’s our Dave Moss in Canada lol.

Great vid, can I ask where you got your bar end mirrors and adaptors from, and what brand they are? Thanks

The mirrors look like motogadget ones. They’re only about $40. The mirror has a blue tint to it but you don’t notice it in daylight.

Bloke. Im Melbourne too. I have the Non S Version ( I didn't want to wait) Where did get yours from? South Melbourne Frasers? Also where were you riding when it bucking? What sort of speed. Was it hard on the gas or it would always buck?>
@stephenbrayshaw62872 жыл бұрын
Got mine from Mornington Ducati last August as I live down that way and have nearly done 10,000k on it. It didn’t matter where I was riding. The more I got used to the power of the bike and started to roll on the throttle harder it would start to power buck out of corners. This was 100% because the rear was to stiff and had no static sage in the rear. As I say in the video I took 4 full turns out of the rear and now only have 7 threads showing. This has given me around 20mm of static sage in the rear. So instead of the rear bouncing out of corners it now compresses into the road giving more grip and control. The bike is so much more controlled now allowing me to ride harder and faster. Also having a bike with a rear that’s too stiff with no static sage will cause the bike to feel like the rear is trying to come past you into a corner which is unsettling. The bike was definitely doing this before the change and isn’t anymore. There’s nothing wrong with the non S and probably looks better with the black forks. The only real difference is the suspension and you’ll be just set and forget which is perfectly fine where the S is electronic and it constantly adapting to the road and condition. This is probably only better for the road. The manual suspension would probably be better for the track as you’ll know what to expect from your suspension. The S gives you both options which is nice. I don’t know what spring is in the rear of the non S but I’d be surprised if it’s different to the S.

@@stephenbrayshaw6287 Yer I like the guy at the Mornington Ducati and they have a lot of stock. I saw your Phillip Island video.i could see it wallow. Scary! I got mine at South Melbourne. It was a 4 month wait for a S. They had a Demo S for $1500 more than the non S new. I was close to getting that but it had 2000km which is a lot for a demo. They are out in the sun and rain everyday and thrashed cold. So I went the standard version I could not tell too much different riding both. The Non S feels like the S in sports mode. When I rode the S, I was amazed I could not feel the bumps of man holes and patched up pot holes which I aimed for. It was weird though over the small high frequency bumps it would stay stiff. I assume the bumps were not big enough to activate the suspension. I'm sure it just a setting thing. I took mine to Platinum Motorcycles who are suspension gurus to get tuned. I was gonna do Dave Moss( how does that work. Do you just get the videos or you can do one on one with him?) The difference the tune made was amazing. It felt on the nose I did not feel confident turning into slow corners especially compared to the Tuono 660. I think he took out rear preload and put more on the front Making it more balanced. It felt like a cruiser when I got on it compared to how it felt leaning more forward. He was impressed with the suspension in that it could take me 6'3" 97Kg and said the only thing he could do to improve the suspension is to add stiffer springs to the fork but even then it won't be a big improvement. He said the reason they run so stiff is because the power and torque. It would squat too much and make the front end too light.

Spring preload has nothing to do with how stiff the suspension is!

I’m so mad my suspension guy didn’t even adjust those collars and I weight only around 165 lbs, the bike is very stiff

hi, can you elaborate the relationship between custom fixed suspension and dynamic suspension. If i wanna stick to dynamic suspension most of the time then I can just ignore the fixed suspension setup totally. is that correct? both suspensions setup are optional and you can choose either one depending on our riding styles. is it correct?
@stephenbrayshaw6287 Жыл бұрын
You’re correct. You choose either one or the other. Dynamic is letting the bikes computer control the suspension for you. Fixed is like having manual suspension and is “fixed” to the parameters that you enter.
