Finally understand what the scan thing is for! Thanks mate! I actually played around a bit with the clock and target power / temp. Got it stable after a few attempts (crashing). Used intel xtreme tuning for my 13900kf. Now I’m tuning my 3090 to the max. So this really helped a lot.

I manged to OC my 4090ti and ran tests through the night and when I woke up my 4090ti turned into a 5070 OC. I can now play my life on 16k resolution at 60fps because the most my eyes can see. Thnx so much man

Highly recommend setting fan curve speed to manual to keep that expensive gpu cool. I would rather replace fans when they wear out than my rtx 3090ti.

Thanks for the video! Followed exactly the instructions you provided for my 3080 xc3 ultra and it gave me +103 gpu and +200 memory at the end of the scan. I applied it, and played warzone for about 1 hour with no crashes. I did notice 3-5c in temp drop too. Do you know if it does anything to the voltage automatically? Or does it just scan/test your gpu to see how much you can overclock on that certain voltage?

Hey BT great vid, 1 question I followed the steps and hit save but when I restart my PC the values I entered in core/mem clock arent there anymore but it shows the scan results. Uh, OC scanner is used to create a custom voltage curve. Entering manual values overrides the curve...

Trust me.... don't mess with the voltage!! Mem oc Gpu oc & power oc. Is alllll you need!! If you tweak the voltage too much you could have a hardware wrecking crash!! It's not worth it!

@@djlansing did a little more research and read that maxing out core voltage can basically stop the GPU from crashing from an OC failure which would result in permanent damage. Glad I caught that from your reply! I went in and reset afterburner, relocked Cvolt and actually ended up with the same stable OC.. but at least now in the event it becomes unstable it can crash to prevent damage. you can max them out to ensure you're getting the most performance out of your card but you don't have to if you're satisfied with the stability and performance on 0.

@@djlansing That's ridiculous and you're just spreading misinformation. The voltage slider in precision x1 is the level of voltage WITHIN THE SAFE ZONE of your card. Maxing it out only ensures you are getting the most performance. It is absolutely safe and a majority of people do it which is why all the guides this person has watched advised him to max them out.

@@adamcooper2242 Sorry but a lot of this is wrong. There is no such thing as an OC failure that does permanent damage. The only way to permanently damage your GPU is by physically damaging it, overusing it, or throttling it with extremely high temperatures. And whoever told you that lower voltage prevents OC crashes is absolutely full of shit. GPU crashes are a core part of overclocking. It's how you know you are over your limit. It doesn't mean your GPU is in danger at all.

I usally use msi after burner i start with one of the settings and increase it by 20. Then i benchmark it with furmark. I haven't tried this method that thr dude is using but it seems just like a quick and dirty way of over clocking the card

Hello, BT. I just had this finish and I only see a score of +202. My version of X1 does not show GPU OC and MEM OC, as it does in yours. With that being said, do I input the score figure into MEM OC or GPU OC? Kind of weird but I guess that's what happens after a 2 year gap. Let me know your thoughts here, if you happen to see this.

That means it's hitting unstable clocks. The OC scan feature is actually supposed to avoid that. Are you running apps in the background during the scan?

I downloaded the latest version, I pressed scan, I didn't get any notification, within 10 minutes the test results show PASS at the left (not right) side of the screen and I get a score of 91. However, I don't see any MEM OC, which means I have no idea what to set it too.
