@@Grooveoriented the voltage slider doesn't really affect VRAM. I was referring to FBVDD (VRAM voltage) which you can use the voltage switches or the classified tool that allows you to manually set any voltage you like on a kingpin card.

After some testing on my 1070. I got max of 136 fps on 1080 med. 50 offset core, 60 offset voltage, 600 offset memory (4608) 80% fan. Max temp is 66c For same settings in high: I dropped fps to 92.20 GOOD VIDEO!

worked well for auto overclock but issues with saving profiles. Other oc programs would make my screens go black but PrecisionX1 worked flawlessly for auto overclock. Wound up going back to MSI for the nicer interface and no save issues and learned to manually overclock for better results.

I need to update my bios i just cant figure it out, i know how to do it my motherboard just don't recognize the bios file from my usb drive. I watched so many videos about it i know i done it correctly it just wont show it. I even downloaded the file from there website under my motherboard. My board has a usb slot that says for bios im just scared to try that way, and yes my usb drive was formatted correcctly and nothing but the file was on it. I have 4 Nautica fans and 3 fans on my cpu liquid cooler so i feel i have good enough cooling and extra power to overclock im just inexperienced and don't completely get it. So if anyone has any advise or could help me please get in touch. im still running an i7 6700k but 2080ti watercooled evga ….I stay at 1000 mem and 115 on the core always 24/7 …. no issues ill try for higher on the memory I thought this was the normal for 2080ti

my new 1080 Ti EVGA failed the test. the scan showed 1671-set at the factory. fans I set myself to 100% I did no other ajustments it did smell like a new furnace in a house as it clocked up during the actual testing.

i never touched my memory overclock and got 10969 result 99% GPU utilization 82 avg frames persecond with a nvidia 1080. Should i try and push it more?? that was on 1080p high btw

Heyy, just got an EVGA 1070 Gaming (the one with 1 weird fan in the end of it, not the one with 2 fans :p) So my CPU is bottlenecking it, I'm using an I5-4460... Is it a good idea to try and OC my GPU? I used to have a GTX 650 and I still have similar fps in games, maybe 5-10fps extra with the new gpu.

Running a previous version my clock was 300MHz with no load, e.g., in the Windows desktop, with the new version it's suddenly running 1500MHz with no load. Anyone know how I can set the minimum frequency back to 300MHz? Then again, maybe the previous version wasn't telling the truth.

yes you can do it with a 1060. The vf tuner tells you how much you can add but it doesnt add it for you.

Yeah, but new mem on, I believe the 30 series gpu’s is error correcting. So trying to OC it is pretty useless. It won’t do anything, until you notice it starts losing FPS/scores, instead of gaining. But I mean, 19,000 MHz effective memory clock is pretty good id say.

I think it's the cpu, nowadays I scored 12910 using 4k settings on EVGA RTX-2080 FT3 Ultra and the cpu is i9 -9900k so I can't imagine the overkill using the RTX 2080 Ti K|NGP|N! version!

Anehum i used too until siege keeps crashing. i ended up not overclocking since 2070 super vc ultra was already good on stock settings. i did max the power and temp limit on msi afterburner.

SNIFFEFAR just set it to max. it doesn’t mean that the gpu will always use 100%. it allows the gpu to GO UP TO 100%, giving it more juice when needed

it varies from card to card but since they are already factory overclocked, you cant really push it that much more. Use Precision X1 and use the VF Curve Tuner to determine your gpu clock, and memory start around 80-83. Also leave voltage at 0 and max out the power target.

Yes, put a bios of a more powerful card to trick the card into thinking it needs more power draw (wattage). This is of course very dangerous since it's the easiest way to fry your GPU as it is obviously not rated for that kind of power.

I just use XOC for turning up all my fans on my ftw3 1080 ti since MSI AB doesn't let you do that. I use AB solely for overclocking though. In MSI it now allows you to OC up to 1500 now.

Test the card in another computer. Unless youv killed it, it should work as it will be running at stock speeds. or you can try rebooting in safe mode and reinstall X1

On an EVGA GTX 1080 (not TI), I was able to bench at Memory+1000, GPU:+50/+100 and pulled a Superposition score at 1080p High of 13000+. I knocked back the GPU to +50/+90 and reset the fan to Auto. How do I save these settings so that I don't have to launch and reset after a reboot?

I’m not a professional by any means but the risk is quite low. This is because graphics card are very good at not dying when something is not right, like an unstable cpu overclock or ram, even if you crank the core clock like an entire GH of what is recommenced it will still boot up to the bios and revert to old settings. I think one of the only cons to overclocking is that your putting a little less life on your graphics card.

Yeah only problem is his chip is literal trash, kingpins aren't binned as shown by this video, mine can do 2190MHz without any voltage change or alterations to classified. Not to mention the kingpin has loose timings on memory config.

This is why i find the KINGPIN edition a waste of money. My current FTW3 (1080Ti) runs better than my KINGPIN except for the memory clock. It's not close to this score but it's fairly okay for a 1080Ti. Got 6431 at 1080p extreme with a coreclock of 2164 and memspeed of 5953.

No don't take the panel out - that is stupid as you want to test it in the environment it is to be running in, which is with panels on. Panels off destroys a positive airflow path as air will just move towards easiest way out. If it can't overclock well or fails that is because of inadequate air coming in meaning the case needs changes in either airflow or type of fans to push required air. Even better is there are fans that be added on the expansion slots allowing one to push air from bottom of case upwards if front or top fans aren't moving enough air towards the card.

Voltage increases are NOT NECESSARY. Test your GPU with limited voltage increases or you will diminish the life of your GPU. DO NOT INCREASE VOLTAGE ALL THE WAY! This is a mistake by OP.

Update: Simply download MSI Afterburner (latest version). Uninstall / remove OC1 / OCX. It doesn't work well. The MSI Afterburner software works great and very easy to use.
