All my respect to Irakli Turmanidze. Not young boy anymore and huge bodyweight! One of my favorite lifter of all time. Very humble personality. Best moment was when Irakli lift in Batumi while audience went out of control, just a little peak to audience, and i was thinking, no way Irakli lift this bar!! But did lift!! It was amazing moment.

Respect to Gor! +4 PR on snatch and total. That 216 puts him among the top 5 snatchers ever? Edit: Thanks to replies, Gor is apparently tied for 2nd best snatcher time with Salimi and Krastev
@tychobrahe63793 жыл бұрын
I do believe so, I think Behdad's best was 216, Antionio Krastev 216 and Lasha 222 obviously. I think Gor is now the only other person to hit 216 or over.

Official competition Lasha is nr 1 with 222.then krastev and minosyan and salimi with 216. At 215 we have kurlovich. Salimi snatched 217 and evgeny sypko 216.5 un-official competition. If I am wrong someone can write but i think this is right

think about it like this: you break the record very slowly over time, so you will accrue more fame and sponsors... no sense in doing your absolute best once and never being able to beat it;)
@zbigniewczaykowski5143 жыл бұрын
@@toximan2008 you are absolutely correct. a good example is sergey bubka in the pole vault who broke the world record 35 times between 1984 and 1994. he was so superior he used to wait for everyone else to finish and then win with one pole vault just 1cm higher than the next man to make sure he won the competition.he then broke the world record by adding 1cm every major competition. he took the record from 5.85m to 6.15m. people used to go to watch as it was virtually certain he would break the record. you could see how much he could do when he cleared world record heights by 20 cm. if he had done his best early in his career he would be nowhere near as big a pole vault legend as he is.

I thought press outs were the dumbest rule in the clean & jerk. After watching them take Enzo's first 222kg away, I have changed my mind. Elbow touching is the dumbest fucking rule in history. I'm happy he got it on his 3rd attempt, but these idiotically useless rules take all the enjoyment out of watching the sport and just end up making me pissed at the jury.
