To be perfectly fair, the Spanish GP at Jerez was always broadcasted live on Spanish TV. I know because I watched them all. It is true that for many other races you only got the start and the last lap, because there was just 2 channels and usually all sports went on the second one, so you would get sailing and cycling and what not during the race... it was extremely frustrating and I'm sure Alonso's memories are a bit blurry because of that frustration that all F1 fans in Spain shared at the time.

My first memory (I was a big NASCAR fan so I never followed it) was reading an article about Massa's lead in the championship in 2008 and learning about JPM when he made the switch over to NASCAR. It was only until 2013 that I started watching with my first GP being Spain. It breaks my heart not seeing Alonso win as he's always been a favorite of mine. I've been a Vettel fan since 2014 and nearly switched to him in 2015 when McLaren Honda rejoined. Ever since then, F1 has become one of, if not my biggest passion. Much love from Georgia!

First memory: 10 years old, Monza qualify gp in 1984 with my dad, obviusly jumping the wall with no ticket. Someone illegally open the little door to the box lane. Ferrari box with Alboreto and Arnoux. My brothet sit down on the nose of Ferrari to take a picture and the Ferrari's mechanic shout and swear : "get up!!! It's carbon fiber!!!" ...magic moments when you could recognize the ferrari v12 before you can see the car approaching!!!

I half expected Kimi to say his earliest memory of watching Formula 1 was 2010/2011, the years he didn't have a seat. 😅😅

My family was a diehard Senna fan. My first memory of an F1 race was the 1993 German Grand Prix, where Senna spun in the first lap and had to wait for the entire field to pass before he could rejoin the race. He finished 4th but I understood why people loved him. An amazing recovery race.

When people remember Schumacher's crashes more than his wins it really puts it into perspective of how dominant he was

First Kimi gave Nico Rosberg Number 6 because he wanted it. Now Kimi earliest memories of F1 was Keke Rosberg retirement? I don't know cap, but am I seeing a pattern here aha

Keke was Finnish, so it makes sense that Kimi's earliest memory is of him, and Nico wanted no.6 because his dad won the championship with it

My 1st memory was when Nigel Mansell faints in Dallas 1984. I cried. This was one of the hottest Formula One races ever. The air temperature was 104 °F (40 °C).

Earliest memory was getting up early to watch Australian 2006 GP watching Jenson start on pole. The noise was incredible and I was hooked.

Growing up I also fell in love with the Mclarens due to the livery. I would do anything to have that Chrome and Red back on the grid.

@@JamesRodriguez10783 It was a nice one for sure and that was the first Mclaren that caught my attention but the 2007 Vodafone Mclaren-Mercedes was a step above for me. Shame Mclaren tripped over themselves that season.

@@garythefishable The best part of 2007 McLaren was it’s track presence, it was long and beautiful. Only thing I didn’t like was it was called “”Vodafone”” McLaren Mercedes 😅

The irony of Kimi’s first memories. He was leading the Nurburgring European Grand Prix in 2005 and on the second last lap his front right tyre burst because he flat spotted it in one of the corners after his last pit stop. Shame man.

I know the race Alonso is talking about. Prost passed both Ferraris at the last corner in one move when they were fighting. I also know the race Kimi is talking about - I think it's Adelaide 1986.
