The 2021-2022 Ford Bronco has a factory installed hitch and wiring connector option, but it costs $600 and it is not even available as an option on my Base trim. So, I will show you how to install them yourself using aftermarket accessories and save over $400 in the process!
Products installed:
Curt hitch receiver PN 13493 (amzn.to/3vJOz4X)
Curt wiring harness for LED tail lights PN 56468
Curt wiring harness for halogen tail lights PN 56471 (this part number did not exist when I made the video): amzn.to/3KQ9Kcj
As noted in the video, before you install this Curt 56468 wiring harness on a Bronco with halogen style tail lights as found on the Base, Big Bend, and Black Diamond trim levels, watch my companion video on how to modify the harness or it WILL NOT WORK.
IMPORTANT UPDATE MAY 2022: If you have have halogen tail lights, and you have not already purchased a trailer harness, there is finally one now available that is specifically designed to work with halogen style tail lights. Google search for Tekonsha 118867 or Curt 56471 and you will find it.
IMPORTANT NOTE: at 15:50 in the video where I talk about the two wire system, and cutting the red wire so that can be grounded as well, that should ONLY BE DONE if you have halogen style tail lights. If you have LED tail lights (as found on Outer Banks and Badlands for example) DO NOT cut that red wire. If you have any doubt, check with the manufacturer of your wiring harness.
