Not bad for general coverage, I have exactly same suv and a year later still learning how everything works. Luv the vehicle, getting 25-29 mpg city. Have the 3 5 ltr engine, 2 wheel drive. Don't need 4wd here in El Paso, TX. Most salesmen don't know or can't tell you everything on every model. Your mind can't absorb all the tech info in an hour or so test drive. Very nice suv over mo old '98 Explorer!

Yhy did the parking brake or why did it lock up in the first place? I wouldn't go thru that trouble to unlock it, that's why the have a service phone number.

Great review! In the market for a new Explorer or Lincoln Aviator. I really enjoyed that you pointed out the tire brand and tire model. Not many do. Keep up that good observation. Thank you!

Could you write down the main differences between 2020 and 2021? Some told me that 2020 has a few more advantages, so I'm a little of confused. Especially, I wonder if 2021 has a paddle shift that you mentioned in the video. Some say "It's not gonna come out with a paddle shift."
@DeLoEnterprises4 жыл бұрын
The main differences is the packages, Ford and many other manufacturers change very little from year to year, only differences typically is package groups. if you're debating on 2020 or 2021 based solely on paddle shift id recommend just getting 2020 to save some cash unless you absolutely NEED paddle shift.

Ford dealers are happy to sell you a vehicle but they can't currently repair cars due to a Ford parts shortage. Something they don't tell you when you buy a Ford. Ford blames COVID but according to my body shop (a nationwide chain) they have no problem getting parts for GM, Chrysler, Kia's etc. So if you're in a fender bender or a part fails on your Ford, it CAN'T BE FIXED. My 2021 Explorer has been sitting at a body shop for 2 months after we hit a deer and did relatively minor damage on it. Ford has no idea when they will be able to get parts and they refuse to pay for a rental car. They refuse to offer a loaner car. I'm currently in the process of filing a claim in Civil Court. The car may not be a lemon but the Ford product support and customer relations certainly is.
@DeLoEnterprises3 жыл бұрын
That sucks, I'm sorry your Ford dealer is having difficulties sourcing parts.
@6862ptc3 жыл бұрын
@@DeLoEnterprises Thanks, but it's NOT just the local Ford dealer, it's nation-wide. Yet Ford continues to sell vehicles they can't fix.

One big difference between 2020 years is the trans-cooler on transmission leak has been fixed. The 2021 has been refined. Also the tailgate height can be adjusted for short people. Theirs a glove box light not mentioned. The auto stop feature is fantastic for city driving. City gas mileage runs 25-27 mpg.use 88 octane fuel, no 85 octane. Very comfortable ride, excellent response. 2 wheel drive gives you more mpg.
