I've had one of these for 3 or 4 months now, and love it. I've done some add-ons so far, leveling kit, removed air dam, led head lights, steps deflectors etc

Canyon Elevation is the best looking (exterior) mid size truck under $30,000. The styling alone is worth the extra money over the Colorado. Same reason I'd rather purchase a base Sierra over a base Silverado. Looks plays a big role in long term happiness with any vehicle purchase.

Surprised you didn't mention the at4 system itself. I am very impressed with the 4 wheel drive abilities of this truck the locking diff. And torque specific wheel ability are amazing

I just bought my second canyon. The first was an extended cab 4 cylinder. The new one is a crew can 6. I would recommend the 6 because the 4 cylinder gets winded fast with any type of load or pressure.

The power seats have adjustable lumber support. I find them very comfortable; 6'1" 250 lbs. Also, the diesel option on the AT4 is $3730, not $5000. Just bought one last week, it's on the window sticker Decent review with just a few minor errors. It's a great Truck if you don't want to go full size. BTW, a Full size GMC 1500 AT4 will be around $55k, so about 10 grand more.

Trucks are expensive here in California. If I'm paying that much even for a midsize, I expect an auto driver seat and not a manual. And no AC vents for the backseats? Wow My fusion was recently totaled and I'm looking for one of these with my settlement. I have a 2 month old and a 8 year old. Is it comfortable for kids? Especially a babyseat?

I have a 2004 canyon 4 cyl 5 speed Manuel and I love my truck run perfect drives great and its going on 18 years old i'm the second owner but great truck could use more power but love it and to me GMC is the better brand than chevy now dont get mad I love chevy to but the biggest thing I have about GM is there Warranty 3 years or 36000 miles I left chevy and I went to Hyundai 60,000 miles bumper to bumper then 100,000 miles or 10 years on the drivetrain but i'll keep my canyon until she dies GM needs to step up they dont back there trucks and cars like Hyundai sorry guys now I will get the hate

Doesn't anyone test a 2wd Truck? live in northeast, snow country,68 years old NEVER owned a 4WD, Dad plowed with a 68 2wd one legged Dodge. WHY waste the money and drag it around all year? If you do not "off Road" I believe it is a waste. Even at that there are quite a few videos on you tube where people that have taken a 2WD to some of the 4WD "parks"! You will be amazed how well they did. JUST SAYING - HOW ABOUT a 2wd test report!!!! Maybe even same vehicle -Equipped the same ( except one 2wd the other 4wd). Towing, fuel mileage, acceleration, corning - a timed slalom ?, Braking tests wet and dry.

Jerry Horn --- Thank You !!!!! I grew up with 2wd everything, used cables/chains when necessary, and never once slid off the road or had something bad happen.. I think they push the extra weight, less mileage, more maintenance, 4wd stuff because so many people today are such bad drivers, and they want to try to help them live longer... Can't even count how many 4wd Everythings that blew by me in big snow in my 2wd BMW Station Wagon, and later, I casually drove by while they were upside down in a huge snowbank, etc... :) Gotta love em'....

I have a 2015 GMC Canyon 4WD V6 with 195,000 miles on it (a lot of highway miles) and used offroad a considerable amount as well. In addition to regular fluid changes, I have only had to pay out of pocket for an evap purge valve that was later recalled and refunded. Colorado's just don't last as long with such heavy use. You pay for a quality and higher luxury vehicle with a GMC and a Chevrolet is a mass produced vehicle that is cheaper but isn't as durable, that is the main price difference.

Dude, the Canyon and Colorado are literally built on the same assembly line, in the same factory. Which means that the Canyons are built by the same machines and people, and by the same standards, as the Colorados are. Hell, it's not uncommon for Canyons to show up at GMC dealerships with Colorado tailgates on them and vice-versa. Canyons aren't built any better or worse than Colorados, they just have nicer materials.

Im surprised these don't sell as well as the Colorado. Its like $1000 more. Does that really break the bank on a $40,000 purchase? Frankly I think the Chevy is not as good looking. That smiling front end got a little better for 2021, but they still only offer ugly black interior. At least the Canyon has a light gray and a brown.

Why would anyone use their dirty work glove to touch the control center (A/C, Infotainment)? These auto journalists are a comical bunch. No one does this. So, they need to stop it. Also, the Canyon will not out-do the Wrangler or 4Runner on the trails. It should be left as a luxury version over the Colorado.

Yeah mine came out at 3k miles. Bad torque converter. About half of them develop a trans vibration that GM won't or can't fix. Feels like driving over rumble strips. The bad part is the dealership told me to drive slower or live with it. Wish I'd have bought a Taco.

Freakn milllinels why wouldn't you have made it as tracking wide as the traverse ,corners like crap it's 5 in narrower wich is a lot and the seats are totally junk especially the adjustments what were they thinking omg, gas gage is worthless can't see it in the daytime it's as good as the high dollar back up camera that is worthless on every car or truck to use at night should have thought to put them up front like a dash cam more useful and what's up with the stink bug look charge you more for levelling kit used to get tickets for the same look back in the day guess for gas mileage all cars and trucks do that then put the price tag on them and you just go huh ,on every vehicle though just wondering what I saw in 2018 disappointed for sure, dose run good gets decent milage if you can deal with the six could have been so much better disscussting don't like stuck with it now the reviews were decent and it did have the bow tie so did the corvair chevette Vega lots of chevy edsels what do you do more research that's for sure blame me have to use your brain didn't on this one thanks for letting me rant but its all true truth hurts people's feelings too bad

@@richardb.5691 I have had this feature on my 2009 Grand Cherokee and it has not hurt anything... The 5.7 Hemi runs great as it did new and does not leak or use any oil.. The cylinder deactivation only kicks in when there is absolutely no load on the motor.. So, how many flat roads do you travel on in your lifetime where this might come into play??? Whatever....
