I experience the same thing on the mags... I load one less than the stated max... works better at 12 & 9

Mine is dead nuts windage but was shooting low when I started..really concentrated and got better..just a tiny bit left but I really like shooting it

Love my OG Shield and bought the Plus first day it was at the shop. My main reason was more capacity, but the nice "bonus" was the different trigger shape. Have about 300 mixed ball and JHP through it, no stoppages yet. Get a holster with loops on it, or that holster is coming out when you absolutely won't want it to.

My wife and I love ours, my first carry gun and her second after first trying the EZ. She ended up liking the feel of the plus better after getting used to firing them.

The Shield Plus has become my primary carry firearm. Increased capacity is a big advantage over the original Shield.

​@@TheCommonPatriot question. on the old shield, mypinky wasn't totally on the gun. it appears that the undercut is slightly more exaggerated on the shield plus, allowing for a more full grip, including the pinky. can guys with larger hands, verify that?

If you manually lock the slide, it’s possible to push the slide-stop too far up such that it slips inside of the slide and gets stuck like you had happen.

@@TheCommonPatriot Maybe S&W will reevaluate their design and come out with an improved slide-stop. Love what you're doing with this channel and have been a big fan of your trick shots channel.

Right when I started carrying went with an STI Ranger II. Went from that to Glock 23 then Glock 27. When the Shield came out I grabbed a 40 model and never looked back. Ended up with a 9mm version eventually. I transitioned to the Shield Plus last year and it was seamless. Love the new trigger shoe and the msg release seems improved as well. Still love my M2.0 Shield 45 though as well.

I have the plus and have the same issue with the slide not releasing even with no mag sometimes. She runs like a charm though. I love it.

I installed an Apex trigger a few years ago and recently added a Hyve mag extension. I have a fiber optic green fron sight. Yes it's a great pistol.

I have the M&P shield plus performance center 3.1 barrel. I sent out the slide for custom RMR cut for the Holosun 407k green dot. Love the combo. I wish they would release a .40 version. My first shield was the .40 shield M2.0.

Yeah, that's crazy...raising the capacity by 5 rounds just by adding 1/16th of an inch in the grip width.

Just bought 1, I'm right handed and keep dropping mags. I've got to switch the mag release to my trigger finger side. My right thumb hits the mag release, a stiffer spring might do it. Other than that I like it, accurate and compact. No one's mentioned the mag release on tons of reviews.

No other issues with the video except this... also seen on other channels... magazines coming out on a closed slide DONT MATTER!!!! When will you ver change a magazine on a closed slide?! the idea is a tactical reload, in which case you run out of round in the mag, SLIDE LOCKS OPEN. For most guns I've used the magazines don't pop out very easily on an open slide. You have to either sling them away or pull them out. Otherwise good video.

The _Irony_ of the *_Plus_* ⚠️ Warning with the Shield Plus 13 round magazines as there are a few reports of them jamming in the Shield Plus. Odd that this defect IS the Shield's main selling point. The S&W M&P Shield is a really good gun though, just don't fall for the marketing of more, more, more.

Yes. I have both. I feel the shield is more reliable, I have had a few malfunctions with the sig. I also like the trigger much better. Both are high quality firearms, can't go wrong either way.

Has anyone been able to get 13 in the mag? I used a loader and leaned into it and could not.

i did as well. took the mag apart compressed the spring a few times put it back together and i was able to squeeze it in. also i unloaded and loaded it evryday for a few days and it loosened up

The Shield Plus is a great shooting gun but suffers from 2 major faults.It is impossible to drop the slide with the slide lock/slide release! The other problem is you can't get spare magazines for the gun! When i queried Smith Wesson's customer service about availability they said they had no idea! Since 1 magazine was damaged during a range session I'm now down to 1 magazine! This is why I tell friends not to buy the Shield Plus!

That goes away with use. These guns are made to last years so it makes sense that everything is tight at first. I can easily use the slide release now after 500 rounds.

Mags are now available. Gonna fly off the shelves fast for a while but I was able to pick up two 13 round mags a couple of weeks ago. Slide stop does loosen up after 500 rounds or so.

I see nobody ever use the disassemly safety lever. Just pull the trigger.

I do, don't care for that fragile looking thing though. But would really love a stronger spring on the mag release.. It's hard to get used to it on the right slide. But Damn accurate little piece.
