What I took away from this was the painfully cynical attitude of the rider towards all things. There was a Fat Boy in there somewhere, I know as I can see some of it.

I have a 2001 Fat Boy.Looks like it just came out the custom shop .covered in chrome ,special paint 11000 miles.Chrome everywhere.To think back in 2001 these bikes were just over £12000 .Now they are £22,000. Can't wait till winters over to get out on it.

Thanks for the awesome review! I have a 2019 Harley-Davidson Fat Boy 114 in scorched orange/denim black (as you can see in my profile pic) and have been contemplating selling it due to a lack of time to ride, lousy weather in my local region, et cetera. But, after seeing your video, I was reminded of all the things that initially attracted me to the highly-revamped 2018 (and newer) Harley-Davidson Fat Boy (with its new Milwaukee-Eight engine and all-new chassis which together contribute to its unique and sublime riding experience) and I think I'm going to keep it.

Great review! I love your commentary and Adelaide being my home town, not there anymore, really enjoyed the scenery. I recently took delivery of my Vivid Black 2021 FB and I really love it. It's so cool (and easy) to ride around the hills etc in Brissy. Keep up the good work!

would it be a bad choice for a first bike because of handling in corners?
@keyboardheroics3 жыл бұрын
It would be a bad choice because of the torque, power is instantaneous with these motors. Easily catching out new riders. Every motorcycle is a handful to corner when you’re new until you’re used to it. I recommend a street 500, 750 or the classic Sportster 883 iron if you want to start riding with the HD brand from without experience.

Anyone know how many miles you get on a full tank with the fatboy?
@petersotherby20323 жыл бұрын
Great review, I watched far too many reviews before my new Fat boy was delivered last week and like you I had heard that it was a tricky bugger to get around corners but after twenty minutes riding I found it just needed a little more input with a bit more of a lean and its fine, it was never meant to be a sports bike although I was surprised how light it feels and as you say it has a nice low seating position, looking forward to racking up some miles this summer, which in the UK I believe will be on a Thursday this year...
@keyboardheroics3 жыл бұрын
You're a lucky man, what a sweet ride to have for that sunny Thursday! Hopefully you're not a wallflower, you'd get less attention riding the double decker bus wearing union jack speedos than being out on your Fatboy.

How does the big tyres affect low speed handling? Beautiful bike
@petersotherby20323 жыл бұрын
@@danthechippie4439 the massive front tyre makes low speed handling a bit clumsy and it certainly requires a little more input and concentration, I really didn't enjoy riding mine for the first couple of trips because of it, but now I'm more used to it I'm happier , the back end is fine just a case of putting the miles in to feel comfortable with how different it feels to my last 95' Fatboy
@danthechippie44393 жыл бұрын
@@petersotherby2032 thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I love the look of the fatboy. I'm in the market for new bike and I'm torn between the Honda gold wing and the HD fatboy. I'm not a touring rider any more, more of a cruising style now so you would think the choice is simply _ the fatboy, however the comfort and DCT can't be ignored

How would you rate the vibration and buzzing on it?
@keyboardheroics3 жыл бұрын
Harley Davidson intentionally created the engine to have a slight imbalance to create a mild signature vibration. It is so minuscule they may well have balanced it 100% in my opinion. You don't notice it at all unless you've just stepped off the latest Indian or Honda & are really looking for it. Nothing like previous generations at all, no rocking, vibration, buzzing, nothing.
@FranBunnyFFXII3 жыл бұрын
No one's gonna complain about the fat boy. It's representation for big people! haha. They gonna go after indian motorcycle first. Then Polaris will have to rebrand as Victory. This is my dreambike, can't wait to get mine. I wonder how it's gonna perform with a 130lb girl twisting the throttle. Can't freaking wait.

I read that riding as a passenger is super uncomfortable. Did you test it?

I had no willing participants for that but I don't doubt it. The riders seat was no picnic for comfort either.
