THANKS for the video, this is much easier than I thought!! My problem is, i bought a Mustang seat with a back rest and the back rest doesn't come forward enough for me to actually use it when riding. So i'm thinking I may have to bring my handlebar back to shorten my reach. Just curious, I have that same mustache engine guard, and of course my legs are too short to reach. What highway pegs do you have, and where did you buy them? Thanks again.

Yes I have the same problem so I adjusted the bars back and it helped greatly. They are the Harley Highway pegs. I have short legs too and they work great!

Just curious how tall you are. I am 5'6 and have never changed my bars but feel I have to lean forward a little bit. Wondering if maybe this is what I need to do or if I would need to buy different handlebars.

5' 7" and I felt like I was reaching a bit so I moved them back, much better! Instead of new bars you could always go with a riser and keep the stock bars and gauge.

I bought a 2011 Sportster and I wanted to tilt the handlebars down but the screws I have on mine are different to those on the video. Not sure what you would call them but they look like gears with small groves and round so it's not like I can use a wrench, alum key or any other type of tool, so I'm stuck. Any ideas what kind of tool I need because I can't search for something I can't name. Thanks!

I believe they are called Torx bits.

@@Motosquatch I had a closer look and I realised that these screws had a cap over them therefore upon removing these caps, it revealed the the alen key slot.
