Brill Vanessa, For the most part it was a awesome bike. I thought it was amazing offroad & certainly in my TOP 3 adventure large bike's. I just can't believe that Harley have got it soo right on their first offering of this type of bike. Seeing you at the show was great (even though I couldn't get to you to say hello) But your attitude and nature is lovely. I filmed my off-road ride which I will be putting up at some point if your interested in seeing how not to ride offroad (amatuer!)😂 Keep up the good work : )

That was some wicked slow riding skill! They are big bikes and I was surprised to see you lift it back onto its wheels, I don’t think I could manage that, I definitely wouldn’t manage it if I was ridding off road for any distance.

Thanks for your riding impressions, Vanessa. I like the new H-D, because now there is another alternative for GS riders. A first for Harley, and an impressive debut. A friend and GS owner commented positively on the automatic ride height. An innovation he'd really love to have. For me personally the Pan America ist at least 50 kg too heavy, I'd prefer a smaller and much lighter enduro. But most people love to buy a beast ;-) Cheers from Nürnberg/Germany, Günter

@Perception_3 жыл бұрын
Look to where you *_need_* to go, always. Which means, when we look down when riding slow, it means we want to fail. Yes, that is a mindset waiting to fall, because you're just waiting to put your foot down. If we don't think we can make it, we are making it much much harder on ourself and also increasing the change of failure. The same goes for any kind of riding. When we look other places than where we need to go, that can and will very quickly make us end up outside of the road, which in the end can be deadly. This is something that just needs to be forced until we eventually WANT to go where we NEED to go. It's about safety, so it's more than just a little important. PS: Another good tip for super slow balance riding like this, is to focus on our breath, and make sure to breathe consistently together with putting our visual focus where we need to go. All of it will calm us down, and increase our chance of success significantly. It will of course take time to improve, but first we have to want success.

Great video, honestly kept me interested right to the end. Charlie seemed keen to keep the interview short and sweet but then I realised he was worried about missing out on first dibs with the cakes behind him. The looks have grown on me recently more and more. It has a really rugged look to it and certainly says its not just a GS clone. How the hell did it manage those off-road sections without a beak.

This seemed like a pretty EASY ride test. No mud or steep hills. Go watch Million Dollar Bogan's test ride of the bike. He REALLY put it to a hard test. I am not an off road rider. Too old to learn a new set of skills so for me I would be a small bike rider if I got off road. I am short so the seat height is the major problem with off road bikes. Interesting to see different reviews and see how other riders rate the same bike

I might be keener on adventure bikes if we had deserts in the U K. However, I really like the no maintenance valves and power figures for this engine and think Harley would shift a lot more bikes, were they to fit it in the supposedly cancelled Bronx. It seems strange that they'd originally planned a lower capacity engine for that bike.

@@TheGirlOnABike Hello, I'm from Burry Port, 15 miles west of Swansea. Here's a true but pretty amusing tale for you. I know a chap down the road from my house who was raised in Trimsaran, not far away from here, but a totally Welshified village, where almost everyone has Welsh as a first language. He once came back from Spain and we asked him, 'So, what was the holiday like Alan ?' He replied, 'Great, the paellas were very nice and the deserts were fantastic !' He meant the last courses of meals. We were all in complete hysterics.

Good review Vanessa. Sounds like a promising bike. As you say, really depends what you want to do with it between long road tours and where you go off road. Did some off road at the weekend on a CRF250 and there were some spots where I’m not sure I would even go with my T7, however most of it would have been fine. Much tougher on a bigger and heavier bike than the T7. Or just need to develop more off road skills!
