Honda cb200x is appearing more agile easy to maneuver in city traffic. It is not designed to do off-roading. More of a touring kind. Thanks for you input. We compared the 200X with the Xpulse to give the viewers a perspective and idea about the 200X ADV roots. Just so viewers understand what’s the focus area of the Honda, and how it is different from the Xpulse. The hardcore off-road people are lot lot less in our country. Like 1%, less than 1%?. Then the sales margin will also be less. That's why they gave touring model which can handle mild amount off-road or trails (which most of the Indians think as off-road). Even KTM did the same thing with ADVs. This make no sense, as the place you really need a bike like this is up in the Himalayas, where the altitude has a serious impact on performance. Honda is confused about the concept of adv. You need high ground clearance, Better engine power and design language of adv to be a real off roader.
@vikrantsingh69163 жыл бұрын
I agree Sanjeev. But not all ADVs are off-roaders. Case in point the Multistrada. But more ground clearance and a slightly different suspension setup would have been welcome.

Honda never whole heartedly develop a product for Indian bikers! Borrowed items: Headlamp, shock obsorbers, tail light, exhaust. TVS Apache RTR 200 4V does much much much better and way too advanced. Indians motorcycle companies showing the Japanese how to design bikes! ex: 200C single channel ABS!
@vikrantsingh69163 жыл бұрын
A bit more focus on enthusiasts, product that define new benchmark, and bikes that more more fun to ride - much like their international models. I agree, that’s what’s needed if Honda has to go beyond the tag of the maker of the Activa.

Yes it's based on Hornet 2.0 but why no one is talking about CB500X? Well Both CB500X and CB200X are not proper ADVs, what i believe is they are crossovers street ADVs.

For commuting i think there is hero xpulse 200T . So hows honda 200x has a big big plus?? Why are these people biased towards honda. Puncture ni hoga aisa ni hoga vaisa ni hoga...we Indians must understand that these japanese brands keep making us fools... they rarely launch their best products in India.

Yes, there are better commute machines than the 200X. No question. What we meant here is that between the Xpulse and the 200X, the latter is the better commute machine. You are free to disagree of course.

Honda hasn’t had too many successes in motorcycles in india. The shine and the unicorn part, nothing really has done well. Maybe this is the reason. Maybe it needs to offer something sportier, something with better headlining figures.

@vikrantsingh69163 жыл бұрын
That’s funny! But as a matter of fact both these bikes would have been conceived for India at the same time. So even though the Hornet isn’t selling well, I agree, this is not an after thought. Could Honda made its mechanicals more ADV like? Absolutely.
@ijs_automotive3 жыл бұрын
@@vikrantsingh6916 they are focused on selling activas only that too without giving test rides actually the concept of test rides doesn't exist for honda unless you are influential, famous youtuber, media house etc. Just enter any busy honda dealership in delhi as a common man, ask for test ride and observe how they stare you back. Less said about the service at big wing world for cb350 series many owners are suffering parts shortage and poor workmanship at bww service for cb350. They seriously have to rise above activa.
