It is nice knowing internally that there are debates whether that cleanup feature should be released and consequence of it when it does change the idea of what a photo is. @@excarnator There's no opinion. It's called "ethical business practices". And currently, Apple is misleading customers by constantly harping about a feature that they don't know when it is coming out.

I get the feeling that Craig is in the trenches with the development teams at Apple and knows what is going on right down to the finer technical details which is good because when he talks you get that feeling he knows what he’s talking about. Tim Cook just feels like a regular boss who probably only has cliff notes when he reveals new products.

Ah, the company that launched the first digital assistant only to be left in the dust by EVERYONE. It also took them over 12 years to come up with a calculator for the iPad because they wanted it to be perfect. There are only so many ways you can build a calculator.

So called AI experts in the field either don't understand that "inductive reasoning can't capture deductive reasoning" or they do but they keep peddling this story that it will because they can raise a lot of money from the hype. The progress seems exponential (mostly due to so many companies getting billions to spend in hardware to train), but in reality is logarithmic, we are already getting new models that perform worse in some areas than previous models rather than being an improvement all around. Ultimately these AI models are just great for things that don't require high precision or accuracy of result.

I paid attention to that too. I feel like they do have something good cocking up for 2025. Maybe something unexpected and I’m assuming Graig, who usually does look people in the eye was avoiding eye contact this time because he was trying to concentrate on giving somewhat satisfactory answers but at the same time not spoil the next step for Apple. I could be wrong.

What is the point of an interview when the person won't give a direct answer to a question. Show the road map or don't bother talking to the press.
