Dan, I've always been a big fan of your videos since a long time. It's time for me to buy a car now and learn driving. What would you suggest to buy as a first car ?
@danilika94203 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words, Jay! There are lots of factors to consider, including whether you want to buy new or used. Do you live in Canada or elsewhere?

@@danilika9420 I live in Toronto. I'm looking for something with low insurance costs 😅... as I am a new driver.. Please suggest some new entry level options on which I can learn driving well... your opinion matters the most to me 😅

@@jayvora3222 Insurance is always a tough one, my friend - especially as a new driver. If you’re looking at the new market, something like the Subaru Crosstrek, Toyota Corolla hatch or Volkswagen Golf might be good places to start (and the bonus is that all three offer manual transmissions, if you’re interested in learning). My advice would be to make a shortlist of a few cars you’re interested in and call the insurance company first to get a quote. The last thing you want to do is get your hopes up - or worse, buy a car - only to find out the insurance premium is too expensive to make it worthwhile.

@@danilika9420 Exactly mate! I am worried about the same thing. I looked at entry level crossovers such as Hyundai Venue(trend trim) and Nissan Kicks(SV trim)... how about those? Are they good enough? Obviously they won't be exciting as they're merely a 122HP cars. But eh, for getting the driver history what say ?
@danilika94203 жыл бұрын
@@jayvora3222 I’m not sure what insurance will be like for either, though I’d probably lean towards the Kicks if it were my money. It doesn’t have the same suite of advanced safety features as the Venue, but it’s a little nicer to drive, has better visibility, and also offers a ton more space inside.

Why do you use litres to describe cargo space? Isn’t litres a measuring used for liquids?
@danilika94203 жыл бұрын
Litres is the official metric measurement for interior/cargo volume. It’s the metric equivalent of cubic feet.
@heshan36943 жыл бұрын
Yeah, it is often used for liquid. However, if you pay attention, the backpack volume is also measured in liters. Just a universal metric for volume.

2 x 29” EMTB’s upright in the back (front wheels off) does it for me. Hybrid SR (UK) on the way to its new home 👍

Dan, The RAV4 Hybrid will double the city fuel economy and it is also made in Ontario.
@danilika94203 жыл бұрын
Well, “double” is a stretch, and it’s the RAV4 Hybrid that is superior. The gas-powered RAV4 with all-wheel drive is rated at 9.2 L/100 km around town - the all-wheel-drive CR-V is rated at 8.7.

@@danilika9420 Gas is over $1.30 a litre, who in their right mind is buying a non-Hybrid mall crawler? I stand by my claim that the RAV4 Hybrid gets double the mpg in the mall parking lot.
@danilika94203 жыл бұрын
@@rightlanehog3151 Whether it’s the chicken or the egg could be debated all day, but the unfortunate reality is that hybrids are sorely lacking in this segment (and beyond). While Hyundai has just added gas-electric versions of the Tucson and Santa Fe to the lineup, and Kia will soon offer a hybrid Sorento, there are only a few to choose from. Add in a general aversion to hybrids, and far too few Canadians are taking advantage of those best-of-both-worlds options at the moment, which is a shame.

@@danilika9420 Sad but true, gas is more expensive in Canada than the US but we buy fewer hybrids per capita than the Yanks. Fun fact: the best selling Toyota hybrid Stateside for the first half of 2021...........? Sienna

Honest review. This is the car I got but it's the 2020 version. I would say it's almost exactly the same. So far the fuel efficiency lies around 9.4 without using eco mode. What bugs me the most is the frequency I have to driving to the gas station... Not pleasant when seeing the gas price more often, and forces me to by more lotto tickets

I advise that the vlog view is more on the car and not ur face. The infos are good but most of the time it looks like an interview. While ur explaining, u cud have placed the view on the dashboard while driving.
