My parents just got one. A 2021 Honda CR-V Touring AWD in Radiant Red. They both love it. That L15B7 1.5 Liter Turbocharged inline four is a very smooth and quiet engine. The ride quality is incredibly smooth, especially with the CVT. Honda really hit the nail on the head with this CR-V. My parents absolutely love the new one they just got.

Just purchased one after looking all the others and trading in my Nissan Rogue, which was a fine car. I love this car better from many points of view. The driving experience is excellent. I like the clean, simple elegant design and the feel of the ergonomics. Steering and response are enjoyable, and it has a very smooth ride. As far as the infotainment system is concerned, it’s fine and does a lot. After all, are you driving or are you wanting to watch the screen? Everything works well, and visibility is outstanding. People seem to like to nitpick about things that aren’t really important, just to be negative. I think it’s a great car!

I know I'm late on this, but the CVT does have simulated shifts if you get on it hard enough. In the S mode it's definitely there, and in normal drive (including eco) it will "shift" if you flat out floor it. We love this car.

I bought the EX model in blue a couple of weeks ago. Already took the family for a 1200 mile road trip and it did well over various terrain. It's a smooth, quiet ride and the mpg was excellent. So far, I'm pleased with our first SUV. The only con would be an abundance of computer controls and driver assists but that's everything now I guess. Everything else has been great. The sound system is also fantastic.

Keep checking your oil levels and smell it...doubt they fixed the oil/gas dilution issue. Smell your dipstick for gas smell

In Canada our CR-Vs are actually slightly different and offer different options. We don't have the EX model (we do have the EX-L and Touring). What would be considered the EX model here is actually called the CR-V Sport. It provides sport badging on the back, has dual exhaust with chrome finish, 19" tires/rims with a different style rim and colour called shark grey, inside the door frame it's a mixture of leather and felt finish, seats are a mixture of leather and fabric as well, heated wipers, heated steering wheel, instead of faux wood finish it has a sportier silver finish and it also comes with sport pedals. I bought one a couple weeks back in the colour called Sonic Grey. It's kind of a blue / grey finish, looks really nice, quite happy with the purchase, such a wonderful vehicle.

This is definitely the most practical choice but I'd like my vehicle to have the latest creature comforts too and I'm willing to sacrifice some practicality for that. The new Rogue and Tucson are my top choices.

Go for the Rogue! The Tuscon has the not really intuitive touch capacitive buttons and so many areas filled with gloss black, it'll be literally filled with fingerprints within a few days!

I noticed on the 2020 version anyway the auto-high-beams are buggy especially in bad weather they often will turn off when no car is near and turn on when a car is approaching which is the opposite of what they are supposed to do so I had to just turn that feature off all together in snow or heavy rain.

if you find the crv the most suitable to your needs in terms of any aspect, do avoid the 1.5t tiers and buy the hybrid or the one with 2.5L naturally aspirated tier. the immd system inside the hybrid is the best in its segment, faster than rav4 if you keep its speed under 100km/h.

Another great review. I just wish this car was as great as the review. I am a self admitted Honda fan boy (I drive 2020 Accord 2.0) but I’m not feeling the CRV. For one thing how can a 2021 model year still have the old technology head unit? The 2018 model year Accord had the new infotainment unit and this 4 year newer model still does not?

Oil diltuion is still a concern of many who otherwise would purchase a CR-V. Honda needes to dump the 1.5T with a more trusted engine. We have owned a 2008 CR-V LX purchased new and never had a problem. Bring the old days back.

I just bought this car for my wife ,the EX trim, it’s overall great but some bad points like: *The stereo sound is the worst I have ever seen on a car *the screen is slow and very blurry * Back up camera looks crappy(my 2008 Chrysler has better back up camera) *steering wheel controllers are very confusing *the usb ports are only A-type Overall great like car the rest is positive stuff.

20 year Honda owner here - current 2008 civic which still runs amazing but bambi tagged it twice. Really was set on a CRV net round for awd, snowy winters in PA. I really dislike the shifter on the dash (short person here) and I wasn't a fan of the firm seats but I could sway back. I have been looking at the Subaru outback heavily and leaning that wa, however I hate the lack of physical knobs and deep dive touch screen although its a lot nicer than Honda's outdate info screen. Nervous to switch with such great success with accords and civics. Especially since I keep cars for 10 years at least. The CVTS make me worry coming from a true automatic. However, I just realized after a lot of research our 08 civic hybrid is a cvt. However, I can't stand the drive (its not my car) and it rides like a jerking lawn mower but with pepe. What are people thoughts on switching to Subaru?
