I have the 2017 model which was my favorite cause of the full front and back ohlins full suspension I did quite few aftermarket parts re did the seat by seat concepts did the camel tank for longer range also the EJK electronic jet kit tusk hand guards pro taper bars and riser also have abs model absolutely love riding this threw trails ome epic bike

As someone who worked at small town dealerships I can tell you it’s hurtful when you don’t buy local. Your local dealer gets allocated inventory based on sales, your local salesman missed out on a commission and you do not receive the level of service for warranty work that you would if you shopped local. It doesn’t take a whole lot of that and you won’t have a local dealer and then you’ll be heading back to Roseville every time you need something. Please support local home town businesses when ever possible.

What do you think of the kickstand? I got my bike yesterday and the kickstand seems to be so odd to me, it stands straight up until you put weight on it, then it’s sinks like it’s going to tip over. I actually had mine fall over this morning because of this.

I’m not sure I could ask my son it’s his bike to see what he thinks as far as rally goes I put a larger foot on the rally no issues also have after market spring on rear shock 👍🤟

The battery for the 5, 6, 7 & 8 are all compatible, but everyone moaned about the battery life, so the 9 & 10 now use the new battery which lasts a lot longer. You look to be getting on well with the bike. I gotta agree with you re why buy the CRF unless you are going to go get it dirty, there are so many other options for the people that only want tarmac riding, even from Honda. I still keep thinking about selling my Beta 390RR enduro and getting a CRF300 Rally, but think I would miss the performance and light weight... would def be nicer for longer distances on the CRF though.

I got lucky and found one used with 1100 miles on the odometer just 90 miles from were i live. Haven't gotten to ride it yet because of work but super excited.

I'm 6'1" (186cm) and the buffeting off the windshield is pretty bad for me. I have a taller torso/ legs ratio than normal however. I am going to get an extension for the winshield.

@Timothy Vine I have similar body dimensions as well (6'1", 30" inseam, long torso). If you don't mind me asking, how much do you weigh? were you considering the regular 300l and/or the klx300? Are you happy with the rally despite the buffeting?

@@dualsportdadz I weigh 115kg so the suspension will definitely be getting upgraded. I'm very happy with it, I'll just need a small windscreen extension for the buffeting
