Excellent video! That is a big bike to hussle down the trails at Walker. You guys are definitely the premier offroad dealership in the area. Owners that actually ride the product they sell. Keep up the good work 👍

Thank you for the kind words! We’re passionate about the bikes we sell, and there’s no better way to showcase them than getting out and riding. Walker Valley really puts a bike to the test, and the PR7 handled it like a champ!🔥 We appreciate the support and will keep doing what we love-bringing the best off-road machines to the PNW.

Great review on a bike that needs a lot more exposure. I've ridden it in the Idaho back country and LOVE it. I also own a SWM Superdual with the same motor, been super reliable and an overall great do it all bike for me. I've also owned several of the smaller AJP dirt bikes and they are excellent as well. Good times.

Thanks for sharing your experience! 🤘 The PR7 definitely deserves more exposure, and it’s awesome to hear how much you’ve enjoyed it in the Idaho backcountry-what a perfect place for this bike! 🌄 The SWM is another solid machine with that reliable motor, and it sounds like you’ve had quite the lineup with those smaller AJP dirt bikes too. Great times indeed!

Nice video and magnificent riding skills. The AJP PR7 has had excellent reputation in Europe since years. In Europe you can get it Euro 5 legal street 48 HP so you can matriculate it, insure it and cross without problem any frontier. A lot of owners change a few things to get the original but "illegal" 64 hp, keeping the legal silencer because of the noise. The bikes are made by hand in a small enterprise in Portugal. The engine is the "old" Huqsvarna 610 and 630 made and improved by SWM. Now it's the model 650, but always 600cc. On the PR7 AJP uses an Athena ECU specially made for the bike. The main use is as light but very able adventure bike as the PR7 can make easily 1000 km of highways as well 400 km of difficult trails in Morocco. Many PR7 have been used for travels like France-Pakistan, a total of 40000 km. The bike has now 60000 km, engine never opened. Many have more than 40000 km without any problem. Plenty have more than 20000 km, it's a travel bike... The bike with its first rate suspensions shines in fast hard tracks ,like the Kove 450 Rally, where no medium nor maxi trail can follow it because of its weight and mediocre suspensions, but it's very good also in twisty precarious trails as the suspensions are very good and the engine a true tractor easy to use. In France the PR7 is cheaper than a KTM 690, even more than cheaper as the 690 needs urgently a lot of expensive work on the suspensions and a big tank if you want to use it as travel bike. Except ergonomics there is nothing to do on the PR7. The maintenance is pretty simple old fashioned way, there is none electronics nor complexity needing a computer or special tools. The spares are rather cheap compared to KTM or BMW, SWM makes a 600 cc heavy (196 kg dry) trail with the same engine (but different ECU) sold 6000 Euros in Italy, exactly the same price as the Honda CRFL 300, so you have an idea of the engine cost...

Wow, thanks for such a detailed and insightful comment! You’ve really captured why the AJP PR7 has gained such a strong reputation, especially in Europe. The combination of its lightweight design, durable engine, and incredible versatility truly makes it stand out in the adventure bike world. It’s fascinating to hear how well it performs in real-world scenarios like long-distance travel and challenging trails-and how it outshines some competitors in terms of cost, reliability, and simplicity. We’re thrilled to see the PR7 making its mark here in the U.S. too, and comments like yours really highlight why this bike is so special. Thanks again for sharing all this valuable info!

Beautiful bike, skilled pilot, Walker Valley: you put it all together Matt. That sure looks like a classic Husqvarna motor in a super competent package. Wishing you success bringing this bike to the PNW. It should appeal to those unhappy with the compromises inherent in 690/701 offerings.

Great video, I had a 2006 Husqvarna TE610 for a couple years as my first proper "dual sport" in the end it was too big and heavy for east coast riding, but I always loved that motor, which I think has a direct line to the motor in the PR7. When I rented a Husqy 701 Enduro, I was so impressed by the progression in quality and ease of use compared to the TE610, that it's interesting to hear you say that the PR7 is more capable and easier to ride. Certainly seems like a BDR weapon if nothing else, great riding, whish we had more spots like this on the East Coast!
@EverettPowersportsOfficial
@EverettPowersportsOfficial Ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing your experience! 🙌 The TE610 was a great bike, and you're absolutely right-the PR7’s motor has roots tracing back to that legendary design. The progression in rideability and capability over the years really shows, and the PR7 takes it to another level with its balance of power, weight, and comfort. It’s definitely a BDR weapon! 🔥 Hopefully, more riding spots like Walker Valley open up on the East Coast-you’d have a blast out here!

You know it’s a light weight adventure bike not an enduro bike? Good to see a what it can do with a skilled rider. Where this fits in is instead of modifying a 690/701, crf450l or ktm500 is a comfortable lite weight adv bike straight out of the box. Suspension is excellent, seat is comfortable, engine is torque monster, gear ratios are great wide range.

Great question! The CF Moto 450 is a capable bike in its own right. The terrain at Walker Valley demands a lot from both the bike and rider, so proper setup and experience are key. If you’re considering it, we’d recommend making sure the bike’s suspension and tires are dialed in for off-road conditions. Let us know if you decide to take it on-we’d love to hear how it goes!
