Hello, I've just got mine as well and looking to install the charger. Just didn't understand how to connect the cables?

Is it possible to connect a usb-c charging cable for a gps module i want to hide there under the windshield? I dont know what type of connector i should buy, how can i link that cable off the bike to a usb-c or usb-a outlet? Is there some kind of pin adapter or do i have to cut and splice cables?

Does your phone overheat whilst using the charger for longer ride? Example, in a relatively harsh weather? eg. 30 - 35 degree celsius (90 - 95 Fahrenheit) Thanks in advance!

I’ve not ridden in those temperatures in the UK but I’ve never had it overheat. The passing wind would surely cool it down anyway and plus the angle of the phone is easily moved away from the sun so that the screen is easily visible without any glare.

You did not say anything about the charging current. As far as I know, the cigarette lighter drains 1A and I think this is the current the PCX battery can "spare" without draining the battery. I don't know the drain of the Orcas kit, but nowadays an average phone charger gives 5A charging current which is waaaaaay bigger than the 1A the PCX can supply without quickly draining the battery, or at least this is what I think. Has anybody actually tried it?

Hi. I have a car that I use for commuting as well as the bike so the PCX is sometimes left for long periods without use and yet it still starts up and gets me to work without any problems. I’m not familiar with any of the drain issues you’ve questioned or it’s rate of drain so I can’t really make a comment that would be fair for everyone.

If you record with your phone the air comes in or you can record with out air noise?
@Jackcapaudio3 жыл бұрын
Hi. I have recorded in the past and it’s been ok. But it’s hard to answer that particular question as I don’t know what level you’d expect for noise to be annoying.m. It records with the phone and sound cones through but so do other noises like the tyres on the road and engine revving etc. the video on my iPhone is a bit shaky as my iPhone doesn’t have image stabilisation like the modern GoPros do.
