Anyway guys please don't buy the fake shoes, they are so uncomfortable when wearing and horrible for your feet as they're lacking the system. Theese device makers don't have to advertise, don't patent licences nor do they fight non stop in court about patents. They don't develop their own OS and they don't have an R&D departments that cost billions with more scraped products than released. The premium brands of any western, Korean or Japaneese brands are not overpriced, but their profit margins on the devices themselves is quite low (besides Apple), then they make most of their money in services. Apple clearly stands out as it earn unseen profits while selling far less than the other big players. Samsung is premium, sells more phones than Apple as well and have outsold the Iphones for Apple's lifetime, on top of appliances, TVs, computers, memory etc etc, yet they earned 2/3 of what Apple made last year. Samsung is a premium brand and most of their money is also made in services, so the margins are finer than you think. They have to invent, advertise and pay western wages for both. That adds up.

Screen casting over wi-fi is objectively hard to do even for "official" products. Not so bad when you are using a direct ad hic wifi connection, but even that needs processing on both ends. Chromecast is designed to stream video directly from the internet, or run an app (more powerful models with android tv). Screen cast mirroring is a bonus.
