Apple clearly stands out as it earn unseen profits while selling far less than the other big players. Samsung is premium, sells more phones than Apple as well and have outsold the Iphones for Apple's lifetime, on top of appliances, TVs, computers, memory etc etc, yet they earned 2/3 of what Apple made last year. Samsung is a premium brand and most of their money is also made in services, so the margins are finer than you think. They have to invent, advertise and pay western wages for both. That adds up.
