Apple ‘car’ play is for ‘cars’ my guy
@JustMamba2 жыл бұрын
You can buy a throttle lock for pretty cheap. And thr apple car play isn't even in option on expensive motorcycles. They only come on big heavy cruisers which are usually around double the price of this scooter.. cruise control isn't a normal thing or common thing for bikes because it can cause wrecks. When you have cruise control on in a car and you are going up a hill or anywhere you are losing alot of momentum it will automatically rev the engine up to like 5000 or more rpm to get back to the speed quickly. If you were to do that on a bike it can easily cause you to wreck.

For most riding situations from quick highways jaunts. In the slow lane to city / suburb commuting to backroads and light open single track trails, the new Honda hybrid gas / electric ADV scooters will be the most cost effective fun 2 wheel transport available. I’m getting in the “que” early for investing in 2 of them. One as a “classic collectible” and 1 for riding the wheels off going every where as a new flavor of “light duty dual sport” 2 wheel fun, - WORD !!!

What I like about the manual mode is the you want in auto you’ve slowed down auto will change so it won’t labour the engine. Honda X-ADV Scooter Beats Field of ADV Bikes in Gibraltar Race Think you can beat this scooter on your Adventure Bike? Think again! Published on 07.12.2019 Riding a maxi scooter in what many call the ultimate Trans-European off-road adventure rally may sound like a strange choice, but to Paris-Dakar veteran Renato Zocchi it made perfect sense. “Many would never imagine it,” he says, “to run with something no one would have chosen to do a race like this, side by side with the single-cylinder and twin-cylinder enduros.” His results at the finish of the Gibraltar race - 1st in Class 2 (601cc - 950cc) and 7th overall - are a big win for Honda’s crossover X-ADV 750.

You do pay a bit of a premium for it, but there is a lot of bike there. True, but they are of course very different machines

Does it have cruise control ?

It doesn't no, and its not an option either

Lets be fair, it would probably be a better option for 90% of adv riders(myself included). Do I want one? err No

How many miles do you get out of a set of tires?

I only had the bike a short while, but I would imagine 6000-8000 wouldnt be unreasonable?

@@mancavemoto My Honda Helix doesn’t do that well. It’s 15 HP but has a 10”rear wheel and 12” front wheel, so they spin fast.

Honda have fallen into the trap of the low volume machine and trying to charge too much for it to make up for their investment, much like the CB1100 (recently departed). That price is far too salty without cruise and some other goodies, has it even got heated grips?
@mancavemoto3 жыл бұрын
I don’t think they’ve fallen into a trap, they are a big enough corporation to be able to produce a bike like this. The price is a bit toppy though. The CB1100 sadly didn’t pass euro 5 emission tests, which is why it was dropped.

@@mancavemoto They are big enough but no corporation wants to take a hit. But it is a necessity if they want to push boundaries and come up with a winner in the competitive marketplace though, fair play to Honda for doing so. Some will win big, Africa Twin springs to mind and others wont. I have a 2018 CB1100EX but bought in 2nd hand at good value, sad to see the bike fail Euro5 but it was an ultra slow seller since launch. There are only around 375 in the UK either registered or SORN'd since UK launch is 2013, now that is abysmal. They are producing a run out model of the CB1100 for other markets so its global retirement is on its way, I expect there will be an old school polished engine for the old girl's final fling.
@mancavemoto3 жыл бұрын
That’s true. It is a shame as I think the CB1100 is a lovely bike, but maybe they’ll become more collectible on the back of it?
