Nate! We've missed you in the last month - but this 19 minutes of pure and unadulterated pleasure viewing made up for it! I'm envious of your KSLS and KSPS that seem so easy to come by in the US. Also amazed that you have so many pods of plants in those smaller pots on your deck - that is amazing mate, next season (or rather this season) I need to really get my fertilizer under control because I think I"m stunting my plants with too much love
@WhiteThunderBBQ3 жыл бұрын
The best advice I can give on growing in those small pots is use really good soil. I use a soil/compost mixture that I do myself. I do not fertilize that often. Maybe twice over the last season. If it was easy to mail you those seeds....I would surely send you some. They are really beautiful plants. I should have some new khangstarr varieties for next season!

These orange habanero put on a lot of peppers. But its late in the year. then they want to put on even MORE. I'am going to do some thing different this year. Going to trim them up and pull them up. Put them in smaller pots, and try to over winter these Orange Habaneros. Where ever they came from they must have a longer growing season THAN TEXAS

I did a red hab plant last year to bring inside...it didnt do too well. ohh well - imma try it again this winter.

@@WhiteThunderBBQ What i'am afraid of to. But going to try bro ! That would really give us a head start on peppers Fingers cross 🤞 I would love to have pepper trees! Rather than plants >> Maybe if we put a heating pad under them

Nate my friend, very nice pepper garden, I could just roll around in that garden,lol, they just add so much flavor/pop to a lot of foods, here in Kentucky mine grow best in the cool of autumn

Wowzers! Nate you're pretty amazing dude.... Do you think this year was the best year for peppers for you cause I am so overwhelmed ..still lol. Nice vidya mon ami, what a lovely bunch of peppers you have sir!
@WhiteThunderBBQ3 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much Booger!! totally overwhelmed with what I still have to harvest and turn into hot sauce/powders/dry out/freeze. Right now I have 2 ferments going in the basement and need to start another 10 LOL I am expecting a frost in the next few weeks so there will probably be a mad dash to process everything then

Excellent job. You can tell your disease/metal? issues are not in your inground peppers like the ones in containers. I'm a fan of 24x24 tree wood crates and mesh pots. I'm not so much a fan of super hots except when It comes to making vinegar based hot sauces. My favs are aleppo, fresnos, chimayo, payu, Chipotle, hungarian and hatch for med heat. Habenaro still is king of flavor for super hots imo

What a collection. Grew about 3 Ghost plants and already made sauce with garlic and the secret, green papaya. Apparently green papaya allows heat in the mouth, heat medium in stomach, and no afterburner. Your birds eye (Thai) looks fantastic. I've seen flower arrangements here in Toronto with chilies in them. Never seen that before. How do you get your plants to fruit with such small containers?
@WhiteThunderBBQ3 жыл бұрын
next year I want to do some landscaping with some of the thai style peppers. I do not do anything special for those small pots...I just use the size containers that I have :-) cheers Rich!

@@WhiteThunderBBQ Made Larry Wolfe's chicken soup (recommended) with a big Hot Portugal sliced thinly. Was up all night. Heh. Great soup though. I'm searching for a free range capon, which I'm told is seasonal in Ontario. It has a date with my Napoleon rotisserie.

@@WhiteThunderBBQ I'm in the Spokane area. So we're not too far off in temps. Hot Peppers freeze so well. I just polished off a bag of Serrano's from 2014 in some salsa. Now this winter its Carolina reapers or undiluted Tabasco pepper sauces.
