2021 Husky FX350 Moto Lap at Briarcliff MX

A lap on my 2021 Husky FX350 at Briarcliff MX. This FX350 has WP Cone Valve spring forks and Pro Components rear shock both with a GNCC/light moto setting. The KMT/Husky 350's are my favorite combination of power/weight/handling in a 4-stroke dirt bike. This is a great do-it-all off road 4-stroke!
Here are my initial impressions of the bike... • FIRST RIDE: 2021 Husky...
After 12+ hours the engine is breaking in and feels more powerful now than during the initial ride. The chassis is agile with a quick response to inputs and a lightweight overall feel in motion. The Husky has a few unique parts compared to the KTM. The composite subframe gives the chassis a compliant feel over the bumps and the seat height is a little lower. Pro Taper handlebars have more flex and a comfortable bend. The FX comes with Magura brakes which have less initial bite compared to the Brembo brakes on the FC models. Dirt Star rims are standard on the FX.
As I have said many times the Husky/KTM 350 is my favorite combination of power/weight/handling in a 4-stroke off road bike

Is 350 that much more nimble than 450? Sure looks like you are able to move it around pretty easily. How does it compare to your 2 strokers? I have a tx300 i will always have for woods work, but some more open or sandy courses i miss the 4 stroke for stability and getting traction to the ground in sweeping turns. Considering an FE350s for the ultimate do it all. :)

Even though the 350 weight is close it will feel a little heavier in motion than your TX300 as the 350 has more crank inertia. However the 350 does feel lighter in motion than a 450 (I have a KTM 450SXF Factory Edition also). The FE350S engine will run smoother at low rpm compared to the FX/XCF350 but it will also have about 10 less hp too (milder engine tuning). My favorite 2-stroke is a KTM/Husky 300 and my favorite 4-stroke is a KTM/Husky 350. Guess I like the odd engine size bikes:)

2 Stroke is way easier in the woods and the 300 KTM/Husky are are huge demand.

i have a 21 model as well and my biggest concern is how well this bike is gonna hold up when it gets to 250+ plus hours

I have friends with 2017~18 KTM/Husky 300 2-strokes with 250+ hours...usually top end every 150 hours or so. No personal experience with 4-strokes at 250 hours

I have the 2020 FX 350, it’s a great handling bike, compact and light. I have fitted a FMF Titanium system, a TWIN AIR gauze free air filter frame, Funnelweb air filter, and I have added the vented side panels......A Rekluse manual torque core, and Clake one light clutch lever....The problem I have is that the engine has very little power off idle, I suspect it is too lean on idle and just above. How to I make it as snappy off the bottom like a YZ250FX?...; My other bike is a Beta 390 race edition, with a Beta factory pipe, obviously a long stroke engine, it pulls well off the bottom.

You have some nice updates on your 20 FX350! I rode a a stock 2019 350SXF with the stock ECU mapped by Twisted Development...that bike had noticeably better off idle throttle response (low to mid). My recommendation would be to get your stock ECU mapped by Twisted Development and make sure you tell them about all the updates to your bike. Let me know how it works if you get it done.

So the fx 350 will do fine on motorcross and wood single track

@@briancarroll7948 It really depends on the rider. Fast kid on MX track will find the suspension too soft for moto but excellent in the woods. Slow Vet rider on MX track will find the suspension to be very good for moto and perhaps a bit firm for the woods. However the suspension is adjustable for a wide range of rider skill and off road conditions so it is possible to come up with a setting that pleases a wide range of riders. The engine has a broad usable rpm range so it works great everywhere. For me 350's are the best combination of power/weight/handling and the FX350/350XCF are perhaps the most off road versatile 4-strokes available today.
