@@conorroy6542 If I take out my secondary cats and res which is welded on together from factory and muffler off would I be fine erasing the code that is gonna pop up for too much back pressure cause I was reading the forums that it causes the mass air flow sensor go off and end up with a CEI? Will the dealer know that i coded the code ?

Hi .Got a 2023 Nline elantra. Today had an issue wherein when i press hard on gas pedal above 50% the engine seemed to just cut off without any power and when i release and press the gas again power seemed to come back. It happened for a while.Then it resolved by itself and went back to normal after I parked my car for a while. Any idea why this happened. Any advice appreciated

Ugh I wanted one of these. Elantra N will be too pricey but freaking folsom lake Hyundai was charging $5,000 over MSRP on the N lines. -_- and the other Hyundai dealers are all connected with them 😞 $25-$26k is doable but $31k come on 😩 sounds amazing though!!

Just a quick question, do you have any water condensation in your brake and pretty much the whole back lights. I sometimes get fogged up lights. Hyundai claims it to be normal. They said to just turn on the back lights and it will disappear. I never heard of this that it's normal for the back lights to have condensation at times. Your answer will be much appreciated since you do work for Hyundai. Thanks.

Ok so sorry for late reply but YES it is normal. Instead of having traditional sealed lights Hyundai uses vented lights so there may be condensation but if it’s in the sun or lamps on it will go away. So completely normal

Probably needs more back pressure. You could try adding a smaller diameter pipe in the middle somewhere to restrict is a little. Shouldn’t effect sound much but create more back pressure

@@TheMrmitch65 so I got my muffler deleted and my resonator replaced with a magna flow muffler. It's too loud in my opinion but it sound better. It even farts extremely loud. Unfortunately I'm gonna get a aftermarket muffler on it.

@@TheMrmitch65 update: Went with an Vibrant 17930 and it sounds slightly louder than stock. No more rasp and it killed all drone. Kept the magnaflow muffler in place of where the resonator was. Vibrant resonator was installed several inches away from the tail

it is right after the down pipe, not very easy to get to since its right after the connection under where the gear shifter is. I think its 2.3 inch pipe

It’s not factory essentially. The badges come on the grill, and both fenders. If they had put it on the trunk, that’s exactly where it should have gone though. I went the step further and got all my emblems plastidip’d though. I hated having black accents everywhere, but the nose and trunk were still chrome.

I got the dct because of a few reasons 1. My girlfriend refuses to drive any sort of manual on the streets 2. The dct can shift faster than I can 3. No missing shifts or "money shifting" (I work for a hyundai dealer and someone already dropped a valve by doing that) 4. I live in a semi-urban area 5. I can focus on driving the car and throw it into corners and focus on the handling properties. Last but not least- its my damn car, who cares what those manual elitest jerks think!

Also does your throttle have almost like a two stage feel to it, like you can press on it then it kinda goes a little further before its "floored" i had an 18 elantra sport with the dct that didnt do that so im just not sure if this ones got a sticky throttle

@@DillaryTrumpton my 18 was at 57k, the dct did well with few issues, I did get a "upgraded material" to the 2020 dct clutch plate tho in 2019 and it made the shifts a bit smoother with less jerkiness than original. I had recently started to get some jerking but needed a tune up I put off since I was getting the 21 n line. I will say the 21 dct is better cruising and at highway speeds. Low and launching speeds it can be very odd.

@@eriksolus That's pretty insightful, thanks for replying. I've got 26k on mine, and what bothers me is its willingness to let the clutch slip between shifts. I'll be in 3rd and expect a seemless shift into 4th, but instead the revs climb some and the clutch doesn't engage for a bit. But other times, it's so smooth you don't even notice it shift. Is the updated clutch something you asked a dealership to do under warranty? Or is it something you buy yourself and have someone install? I'm looking into getting an N-line sometime, but they're rare around these parts, I was lucky to even get a Sport a few hours away.
