It's the best course on tour imho. Just the fact that 16 is eagleable makes it so exciting, plus the parity. I don't even get through the ball courses anymore but this is riveting.
@Rattus3753 жыл бұрын
It's my favorite stop on the tour. It has some OB around the basket that I don't like (too luck dependent) but otherwise it has a great variety of holes, with some wooded and a few bomber holes, and 3-4 holes that are realistically eagleable

@thebeasters3 жыл бұрын
Agree. He hasn't been the same since discraft
@barrymak4213 жыл бұрын
@@thebeasters Yeah, I cant agree with this at all. Everyone can hit a slump, but McBeth has been at or near the top in pretty much every event this year. Is McBeth a little off right now? Sure, but the fact that he isnt winning every tournament says less about him and more about the field. He cant just run away with every tournament anymore, and in my humble opinion, that's a great thing for the sport.
@Kalaha863 жыл бұрын
@@barrymak421 I agree, he has been near the top a lot of times, not to mention he was in the playoff against Conrad in the world championship. However, he just seems to make mistakes when he's under pressure that I dont see him doing normally. One of the first things I noticed about Paul when I started watching him was his very impressive putting and lately he's been a little off his normal game. I'm sure he'll bounce back and take a win soon enough though.
@barrymak4213 жыл бұрын
@@Kalaha86 So you said that when you started watching him he was an amazing putter. I don't see where that has changed. He still makes those impossible putts that no one else in their right mind would even attempt to run. The only difference is now Rick isn't his only competition. He now has these young bucks that learned his mechanics when they were 10 years old. Imagine having McBeth's mechanics before puberty, then pack on length of limbs and muscle mass after already having flawless mechanics, and you have a Paul McBeth clone on steroids. If you want to see what I mean, go watch Cole Redalen play. Mechanically he is a clone of McBeth, he is just 15 years younger. Again this is just my opinion, and yours is completely valid, I just see it as the field getting better, not McBeth getting worse. TLDR: In my opinion, McBeth hasn't gotten worse (he has actually gotten better) he just has more elite level competition, so when mistakes happen they are hugely amplified. Where as before his lead was so large he could make a mistake and not have it effect him.
@Kalaha863 жыл бұрын
@@barrymak421 I see your point and while I do agree to some extent, I cant help but to feel that he has been playing a bit inconsistent as of late. So perhaps a little bit of a slump atm but again, I'm sure he'll bounce back soon enough and grab a win.

The spectators on hole 8 are way too close imo... Even for the pros, having people that close has to affect their shot a little bit. Don't think it would hurt to see them keep the spectators back another 45 feet or so on that part of the fairway.
@deadlyvenom90693 жыл бұрын
100% agree. They'r all thinking of the headlines and the reputation if they slightly miss and rail a spectator in the head with a fullpower forehand. Also just hitting a spectator will most likely throw off your confidence for the rest of the round. If not season.

I mean take McBeth, obviously the GOAT, but he is only 30 years old. Kyle is 19, Eagle, Calvin, and Gavin Rathbun are 23, Gannon Buhr and Cole Redalen are like 16. I guess my point is this sport has plenty of rising stars that will continue to push the envelope for many many years to come. It would not shock me at all if in 10 years just to be competitive on tour you will need to have 600 minimum off the tee, and be 100% C1 every round.
