Here's the crazy thing about Kevin's jump putt on 6: they all threw their drives, and were coming out of the woods when the delay horn sounded. Kevin stepped up to his lie, knowing full well it wouldn't count, and made the same putt you see here. The crowd went wild, then we slowly realized it didn't count. "That was dumb, he jinxed himself," we said. Aaaand we were wrong. What a performance.

@dpreston88313 жыл бұрын
@@droan999 he didn’t practice it. He was next to throw and already at his lie. He technically could only throw one but wouldn’t count. Players can’t practice their shots and wouldn’t care to.
@ryanphelps99433 жыл бұрын
@@droan999 You can practice during a delay. The point of stating "we will start at X time" allows the players enough time to get to a safe place, wait it out, get back to their lie, and warm back up. Warming back up allows you to throw whatever, including from your current lie.

Jomez - you guys have the most useful, informative screen banners of all the disc golf coverage groups. I particularly like knowing what disc is being thrown and the distance/release speed data. One thing to consider for future enhancements would be a shot counter for each player. Particularly on the long, tough par 5’s like we saw at the Northwood Black course, it’s easy to lose track of what shot each player is taking. Even the commentators occasionally lost count and weren’t sure if a shot was for birdie, par or bogey. I’m guessing that would add a lot of manual labor and probably delay the release time for each video and the juice might not be worth the squeeze. Thanks for how you’ve raised the bar on disc golf coverage.
