1) Just want to clarify that is it not "MagSafe" but a magnetic connector because Magsafe would imply that it would come off your computer if someone trips over it, so if someone trips over this, the computer will come along for the ride. Now you don't want MagSafe on an iMac because iMac isn't running on battery therefore you would basically shut down the computer all of the sudden which can corrupt files while it may be writing. 2) I too am in the camp of no chin screen however I do agree with your post/tweet that that's what makes it iconic. However the iMacs that i seen used in work environment at this time, many people stick sticky notes on the chin so I think it can be handy. 3) I prefer black bezels over light silver bezels but because the brigntness of the screen, you'll forget it completely. And most people will be more colour distracted by the light reflecting off of their surrounding environment (desk colour, wall colour, etc) than the light silver bezel (i don't know what Apple is callling the colour but it's definitely not white). 4) Lastly, i think this silver one goes well with your room wall colour, and i would have gotten the VESA compatible one with a white monitor arm.

What a video! Clean as always, attention to details, perfect room/space for that. The white bezels fits perfectly with your room, so, that’s normal and not annoying. Of course, with white bezels in other kind of walls, it can be annoying. Shame that Apple didn’t add a color like space grey and no bezels, or black ones. Great video!

The speakers are supposed to be very good, a big upgrade from past models, and the chin is where the speakers are - hence the big chin. I suspect the pro model will also have the big chin. I don't mind the chin but I do wish it had retained the Apple logo.

Nice video and presentation, Oliur! That silver version is the best color followed by blue, in my opinion. Now if it only had a touch screen and ran on battery power, and lose the stand you’d have a 24” iPad! Very nice, but I’ll wait to see the iMac Pro or whatever they call the larger version.

Amazing machine. It is impressive that Apple managed to build a very powerful computer in such a subtle form factor. However, I personally do not like those white bezzels and the big chin at all. I wanted to do an upgrade and I was waiting for the new iMac but I think I will pass.

I like the "chin" of the iMac! The chin is part of what identifies the machine as an iMac and not simply some kind of display (only). What does make me sad is that there is no Apple logo on the chin!

Awesome video. The silver looks stunning. Thanks for the info on the scalable display resolutions. No other reviewer has mentioned this. Let us no if 2560x 1440 ie the default 27” reolution, is doable ie if you can view icons and text comfartably (maybe chose large icons and text in display preferences) and enjoy your new awesome machine.

I think this will serve great as a family computer with a rather affordable entry price (considering its an AIO and comes with keyboard/mouse) I think for most people using it themselves maybe a MBA with a dock would be a bit better

Desirable looks & performance apart, the M1 iMac, given its limited ports, somehow feels like an iPad cranked up to be a desktop. I plan to wait till the next edition to see if they will add ports & add a non-reflecting screen. The MagSafe connector feels kind of pointless on a desktop stationed on the desk.

I don't care about the bezel, its colors, weight or width! It's on my desk and that's where it'll stay. The real issue is IT DOESN’T HAVE PORTS for my laser printer, my ethernet connection, my 2.0 hubport or all my usb 2.0 flashdrives. I want to be able to easily transfer pages, music, photos, movies etc. and without any immediately utilizable ports, I can't do a damn thing. Who knew that I would be denied something so essential. What am I supposed to do?

I am a bit baffled by the amount of complaints for the magic mouse charging port location to be honest. First let me be clear, i hate Magic Mouse. I do not find it comfortable to use, i do not like its ergonomics and generally it lacks a lot of things. But instead of having people complain about the actual serious issues of the Magic Mouse, people complain only about the charging port and I am like wtf? You charge it ONCE every 2 months or so... The silver/white is the only of the new iMacs I don't mind looking at. Perhaps because the chin blends better with the bezel more than other color models. I still think there's a problem when a machine looks better on the back than the front.

Youre that only person in the world who stayed with the original color while this was youre only chance to have a original color, witch makes youre very original because youre the only one buying this color That charging port is so weird bye the way of that mouse....maybe they want to keep the port out of sight pure for....their no ports standpoint.Does the track pad have the same? And if no was the track pad already there when then they placed that port under the mouse.Because then it's clear....that you need to buy the trackpad still usb Ports on the front or side makes it a wired mouse.Witch it isn't and probably design wise this is very easy, no wired uses is no broken ports or ports that have a lose fit and need repairs 😉 you people have no choice to go for the trackpad or go Logitech

Mouse is still a pain when battery is low you can't do anything except waiting it to charge. Apple said have update this in all models
