I got my 2019 RM at the end of May 2020. Just headed in to the dealer for the 5000 mi service on Monday. Just ready to roll it over. Got a couple nitpicks, but a considerable upgrade from my 2005 Honda VTX 1300 I rode for 8 years. Has everything I never had before! Ended up with 70,500 miles on that Honda, 55,000 "Me miles" since I got it used. Looking to put that many and more on this RM! I had to get some Tab Performance Zombies on it, the stock exhaust was woefully inadequate for my sound taste. And the seat although it gets very nice and warm, it's like riding on a horse saddle for me. Still need to get some improvements done to it. But it's getting there! And I'm a bit disappointed the tops of my knees get wet in the rain. The leg fairings just direct it right over the top in to your knees. But the windshield helps give a nice bubble when it's all the way up. Handles great. Got a few 18 foot U turns in the other day, can see a vid of it on my channel, too! Love my RM, so glad I got it!

Great review. Touring bikes are also good for those, like me, who live in colder climates, regardless of your type of riding. I have an '08 HD Ultra, and that is very nimble and light to get around with also.

I ride an Indian Roadmaster and absolutely love it. I removed the large luggage rack, the lower front fairings and the original seat. I added the Ultimate Seats Solo and Passenger seats with back rests for both riders, as well as a 12" sissy bar with rack. I will add a small hard-case luggage item to hold my helmet once I find one that I like. Removing the large luggage rack and original seat reduced the weight of the bike significantly and made it more manageable for me to ride. I just didn't want that large luggage rack on the back and am finding the Ultimate Seats to be much more comfortable (and lighter) than the original seat. I had a dealership install 4" Rinehart slip-ons and a high-flow air cleaner, and there was an immediate increase in power, and an increase of 8 mpg gas efficiency. For added visibility on the road, I added a device to make the taillights blink on and off when I use the front or back brake and had Clearwater Lights place yellow their Darla riding lights to the front forks. This bike is so lovely on the highway. All my life, I wanted a Harley but only rode Triumph 650s and a Honda Magna 750 as well as myriad smaller bikes for many years. I had never ridden a large bike before purchasing this bike and was intimidated by its weight and size. However, I have viewed 100s of hours learning riding techniques on KZbin videos produce by professionals and EVERY time I get on this bike to ride it, I spend a bit of time practicing emergency stops, weaving in and out, U-turns, figure 8s, circles and making turns from a dead stop in a large packing lot located close to where I keep my bike. PRACTICE PAYS OFF! I am no longer intimidated by this bike because my riding TECHNIQUES have improved dramatically as a result of constant practice. Very important: I never want to be overconfident when it comes to riding a bike. Respect for the road and the bike is ultimately the best practice, in my humble opinion. Be safe, be well. Ride! PS: I just purchased a Shoei RF 1400 helmet and love it. However, be aware that if you wear a certain size helmet currently, you may want to get a size larger if you purchase a Shoei RF 1400 because the difference in padding and such makes the helmet fit differently than other Shoei helmets. Just a kind warning, so you don't invest in a helmet that turns out to be too tight.

It has the 116 stock but with a smaller throttle body than the 111 big bore upgrade. It does preform well. The torque will rip the back tire apart from a stop or on the roll. Smooth ride it makes you forget about the size of the bike. I own the 2018 roadmaster and love it.

I have the Harley Ultra Limited. This is my second Ultra Limited. Just before I bought the first one, I test rode one of those Roadmasters and almost bought it. I liked the bike quite a lot. I went all the way to the end of the deal, but couldn’t get a good enough rate at the time. This was at Daytona Bike Week. It’s funny, I found out 2 weeks later that I could have gotten a better rate. They were just trying to pull the wool over my eyes at the dealership in Daytona during bike week. But, by the time I found out I had qualified for the rate I wanted, I had already bought a Harley. I think both are excellent bikes. I think I’ll just stick to the Harley since that’s what I’m more use to now. As for you, get the bike! Let’s go riding. I’ll ride with any make.

@@NoogaCowboy I’ve shopped (window shopped) at Crocket in Chattanooga before. I like the people there. My sister lives in that area. Maybe if I ever get a second bike, I’ll either look into the Challenger or the new Chief they’re coming out with.
@NoogaCowboy
@NoogaCowboy 3 жыл бұрын
@@RevJay_Rides I love the look of the new Chief but not sure I would buy one. Not because of performance or anything, I just want to move up to the Springfield, Chieftain, or Challenger. The Challenger is so agile and feels the same as my Scout. That being said, I'll most likely go with the Chieftain Dark Horse. Lol
@RevJay_Rides
@RevJay_Rides 3 жыл бұрын
@@NoogaCowboy I’ve ridden the Challenger a couple of times. The first one I rode was at Daytona Bike Week, I think last year. They were doing what they called “The Challenger Challenge”. I liked it. I have a friend who rode an older Goldwing who would only ride Honda until he rode that. He said he would buy a Challenger if he bought a new bike. That’s saying a lot for him. I’ll have to get my Limited paid for before I attempt to get another. The Challenger would be top on the list if I go with anything besides a Harley.

I just rode the roadmaster limited at thunder beach demos. I did like it alot. Felt tiny compared to my ultra limited. Liked the clutch, bike rode good.i did notice the screen shook pretty good , kind of freaked me out. Did good until about 65 to 70 mph then it needs some tuning. Liked the cooling seat feature. The screen would have to be changed out, too small. Stereo is not as good as on my 17 ultra limited.maybe just the speakers. Did have a nice rumble to it. It's is badass. Why does the GPS look like it's reverse?
