2021 Jeep Compass | Family Man Too! | Turbocharged

How far will you go to meet your family? Well, the Ed went on one of his longest journeys ever, starting from our HQ in Pune to Gwalior which is over 1,150km away! Why you ask? Well, our 'family man' has been forced to stay away from his family for almost three months owing to the lockdown. However, when you have the keys to the Jeep Compass, no destination is far away. So one fine morning, off he went with nothing but sheer determination and what is probably one of the best SUVs in the country to munch miles in. Watch the video to know about the journey that tested both the man and the machine to their maximum potential.

Harrier or Innova crysta seem to be a better option, just like the Auto transmission that was recently update with a new base variant in diesel harrier similarly jeep should introduce an auto transmission in its diesel base variant . Many customers are heading towards diesel auto transmission preferably & Jeep Compass gets dam expensive in its diesel auto transmission range . Like the one in Innova crysta gx & harrier XMA, Jeep Compass should also introduce one in its base range .. Still the Tata harrier & Toyota Innova seem to be a better option .

Overall fuel efficiency would have been around 14-15kmpl Karthik. Though honestly different driving conditions between Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh in terms of traffic and road conditions meant it varied a bit!

I am thinking about buying S 4x4 Diesel but somewhat waiting to compare it with upcoming Tiguan. BTW Indore Gwalior would be my frequent run too :)

Thank you so much! And this was a test car provided to me by Jeep India for shooting the travelogue for my magazine. Average fuel efficiency on the trip would have been in the region of 13-15kmpl overall, but if you ask me, it depends a lot on one's driving style! The S 4x4 diesel is a fantastic highway machine as you would have guessed from my review in this video! And trust me, Indore-Gwalior is a fantastic driving route - pristine, smooth highways after Dewas, all the way - right through Guna, Shivpuri to Gwalior. It's four lane all the way with barely any traffic, allowing seriously quick average speeds! Have fun!

But your comparison with sedan in highway I've not agreed as I driven with by bmw Msport Grane Coupe 229D with much better stability on the highway surface than any suv. I drove with some bad patch of highway but nothing uncomfortable throughout my journey.

I bought Model S Diesel Automatic, not a good buying experience overall, but I chose to ignore. However within a week I noticed that driver side door has many colour bubbles. Now they offer repainting of the door from their local work shop. Very unprofessional treatment from Jeep. Good luck to prospective Jeep buyers.

Yes Ankit! Actually I did not take the Nashik Phata flyover but went under it. I used to go via Pimple Saudagar before but this time didn't need to - I took the new Kalewadi-Chinchwad Station Link Road this time, got onto the old Bombay-Pune Road then turned left at Nashik Phata to join the Nashik Highway. I stay near Dange Chowk in Thergaon and glad to see you recognised PCMC! Cheers! :)

Hey Shubhendu! The Compass I've used for shooting this video was the S 4x4 AT and comes with Jeep's UConnect5 infotainment system as standard which offers full-time navigation. Check with your dealer once maybe?

No ,the one tat goes on sales doesn’t have inbuilt nav and voice command feature These features are found only in first batch of vehicles mostly the test drive cars and came to knw frm the dealer tat these features may get added soon
