This is a Jeep made by Stellantis. This 392 engine debuted by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in a Dodge Challenger in 2011. Historic 392s were in Chryslers.

You can blow up your transfer case running in low range and driving around at high speed/rpm. Just need it for steep hill climbs and rock crawling. All the other stuff just use 4 high. You make enough power

Love the Wrangler and loved this POV! The off-road angle is really where the wrangler shines. You should snag a Bronco and do back to back drives in the same video on the same track and give us your thoughts.

The MP3022 does not have a center differential. Rather, it utilizes an electronically-controlled clutch pack. Wheel speed sensors detect slippage of the tires on the rear axles and the computer tells the electronically-controlled clutch pack to engage, sending power to the front axle. With the Z Automotive Tazer Mini (JL) module installed you can force rear wheel drive only mode. This keeps the electronically-controlled clutch pack from being engaged. Shifting the transfer case from 4WD Auto to 4WD Part Time physically engages power to the front axle no differently than any other manually shifted chain driven transfer case. I think the nomenclature used to describe 4WD Part Time, incorrectly describes it's function. When it is engaged, the front axle is being drive 100% of the time, not "Part Time". I know the above statement is correct, as I own a Wrangler Rubicon 392, equipped with a Tazer Mini.

Bingo. And yes, I've never liked the "part time" nomenclature, as the correct interpretation of that definition is that "this should only be used part time/when needed." It's not very intuitive unless you've just lived in that world for a while. Teaching my wife how to use her old JK's transfer case and when to shift it wasn't the easiest thing - her JL now has the 4H auto mode, which makes both of our lives easier.

hey TheTopher (chris) I thought i'd let you know: I recently owned a 2013 Suzuki Kizashi Sport GT FWD 6 speed manual and it had a very interesting functionality trait. If you held down the traction control button for 30 full seconds it would fully disable all traction and stability aids. so if you ever think your system isn't fully defeatable in a vehicle hold down the traction and or stability button for a length of time to see what it does. i know many bmws require a 5-10 second press to fully defeat their systems.

I’d have a go at this if the opportunity ever presents itself. The Jeep Wrangler seems to be the ideal vehicle for that kind of course. I must say that the quality of those Mics you use really capture everything going on, and paired with my $50 KZ-ZS Pro 5 driver In-ear monitors makes for a great combo. I could hear the low rumble of the wrangler’s engine. What a fun time you guys must have had out there in it!

You do not need 4 low for that hill. And a humble piece of advice is you don’t need to rev it so high either, especially in 4 low. That thing is a crawler and you don’t need speed to take that hill
