I got the blue one I had a lot of motorcycles like 53 of them I like this bike it’s pretty nice it’s not real fast but it’s fun I got it for 7100 out the door I use mine on gravel roads a lot in Missouri Sweet roads down here I love it

with a 6 speed transmision the top speed will be similar to the drz

@@minimat098 , yeah, but you won't have the grunt torque or acceleration. I think 400cc is the best displacement to play with in the SM segment. Because it's snappy and still nimble. The other option would've been the Ninja 400 motor just re-cammed and timed for more low end.

Headlight looks pretty dim and not sure what that plastic reservior is behind the left side number plate and hoses coming off motor seem a bit long. Rubber on the foot pegs... wow looks to be an inch thick. Glossy plastic panels will look bad after a few rides. Tool bag on fender should be put under a seat that can come off with a key. Real curious as to how much $ for the off road conversion kit, nobby wheels, chain, front brake etc. Ideally it could be swapped eitherway in under an hour and won't cost a fortune. Wished it was closer to 400 cc but we'll see the reviews. Good looker!

I really like the klx300 and crf300l... my only concern with both is the suspension, I hear the suspension on the wr250r is decent out of the box so I'm also considerning picking one of those... can't decide

The KLX has adjustable suspension, both the front and the rear. The CRF does not.

The klx300 dual sport gets about 85 top speed right out of the box. We'll have to see if that changes after break in period. I imagine this SM will go slightly faster because of the tires.

It does not have a gear indicator or a fuel level, but it does have a low fuel light.

The model shown does not have ABS. My understanding is that all units will come without ABS to maintain that supermoto feel and style.

@@kenhoward3512 Most dedicated supermotos do not come with ABS. Bikes like the KTM 450 SMR, and Husqvarna's FS 450. I'm sure Kawasaki may have other reasons like cost, but that was my understanding. What are your thoughts?

This is from kawasaki customer service. “The KLX300 SM has approximately 26 hp and 18 ft-lbs of torque.”
