Is it good on gas? And do you think it’s capable of traveling state from state on highway?
@adventureswithkatem2 жыл бұрын
Yes it is, it has long service intravals and is great on gas on the highway...the only thing that's hard is the stock seat..I'm only good for a few hours sitting on what feels like a 2x4. 690 content will have until next season though...if you haven't already please smash that subscribe button, and thanks for watching

I’ve been on KTM 690/Husqvarna 701s for 7 years. I have a 2017 701 at this time. I was talking to a KTM rep at the Touratech rally and he said starting 2023 they will have an improved instrument cluster. I’m thinking about moving from my 2017 enduro to a 2023 SM.

That's awesome! The one thing that the European 690 have that the U.S models have is a gear indicator .not a deal breaker but would be nice.

man, thats awesome, I hope thats true......thanks for the headzup.....

I’ve got the wings slip on, it definitely needs a tune for Midrange torque for wheel stands . Oil consumption no issue at 8000k so far .you’re info is on point and relevant for this bike . A 690/701 owner needs advice on what to do as they aren’t perfect standard . Tune/pipe/

The speedo is different in Europe i noticed. Its LED. It shows the gear ur in and also the rpms.
@adventureswithkatem2 жыл бұрын
Yup,but who has time to look at that..heh
@NrwRawS2 жыл бұрын
@@adventureswithkatem i mean yea the rpms are pretty useless but the gear indicator is pretty nice especially if you do wheelies...

Congratulations that's awesome!..this is from KTM mechanics, only use the quick shifter from second gear up and at WFO throtal never down. If you quick shifter at lower rims it will false neutral all the time. And keep a close eye on the oil level,big thumper will consume oil fast,its just the nature of the beast...enjoy!

The bike was produced in 2021, but finally sold to you as the first owner in 22. Thats why it’s a ‘22 but actually a ‘21 😁

Now that I think about it..the bike was produced in 2020...I rember walking past it when I bought my 500 in July of 21...and thought cool bike!
@Snotroggel4532 жыл бұрын
@@adventureswithkatem it can’t be a ‘20 model because this color scheme is from 21. The 2019 and 20 models are black and white.

Just bought a 2021, havent been able to find any forums explaining how to turn off the traction control and abs. Any tricks you can give me to figure this out?
@adventureswithkatem2 жыл бұрын
Yup, for traction controle, drive the bike for 5 feet or so, then hold down the tc button for 5 seconds. The tc light will stay on ...that means tc is off. As for abs, I think you just drive for a few feet and hold down the abs button..never turned off the abs my self.hope this helps... this has to be done every time you turn off the bike. Ktm sells a off road dongle that saves the settings.

Are you clutching the wheelies up in map one, because mine will not lift off the throttle in map one. Cheers

I use map 3. And no clutch up....its got to the gearing
