Haven't driven the 4, but the 6 seems totally worth it.

Nice review. The reliability thing is, yes, you have a warrenty of you buy it new. But what is in seven years? It's not an old car than. But the bigger problem is exploring the world and beeing far away from any dealership or tow truck. The old Defender was simple to maintain, a Land Cruiser is reliable. But this is just for a fun offroad and not serious getting away from civilization.

Most of the "reliability issues" people complain about are software related or some dumb stuff and not mechanical.

I test brand new cars - reliability is something we simply cannot check in the course of a short review. It's you who tells me if the car works out well on the long term!
