I bought mine in Titanium Flash just a little over a month ago and apart from the small cabin space (which Caco pointed out), I have no other qualms at all! It's such a joy to drive and I absolutely love the premium feel. I'd go as far as saying that both the interior and exterior are the best in its segment. Style and comfort, indeed.

@@kentdial6996 The City RS was actually my 2nd option while choosing a car! Pero I found driving the Mazda 2 to be much more enjoyable plus the interior definitely felt more posh. I also wasn't too keen on the City's CVT transmission.

This is exactly my car, bought the 2020 model. It's a head turner, premium looking and reliable. PLUS the 5 year free PMS is a super win win. Cant go wrong with a Mazda! Very underrated.

Yes the brakes are awesome!. When my 2016 Mazda2 was new, first thing I and my office mates (when I let them drive) noticed, was the brakes. They really are strong. It gives you confidence to do some 'spirited driving'.

I was JUST gathering information about the hatchback version because I was interested in getting one for a city car. And then AutoDeal uploads a Behind The Wheel! The timing is perfect! Despite being old, the Mazda 2 is still surprsingly good! Easily the most underrated in its class (like most Mazdas, to be honest). The subcompact segment is difficult to choose from because most of the choices are pretty equal and decent enough (except for the Mirage G4 lol). It all boils down to personal preference.

i own a Mazda 3 2018 sedan. driving comfort is great. I can drive for hours with no complain. I also enjoy the handling of my Mazda. I'm happy that I got Mazda as my first car. things that I don't like in my Mazda 3 are the space in the back seat. it's not as spacious compare to a honda city. ground clearance is also a problem. The car is too low IMO for PH road conditions and I should have gone for a 2.0L engine since I wanted more power. Road noise and engine noise creeps in as well. One last thing i should have gotten a hatch.

6 speed conventional automatic seals the deal. CVT sucks. Looks? not so sporty. But this one is more elegant and sexier (specially the hatch) compared to its counterparts in this segment.

I really love Mazdas especially this Mazda 2, if only I can afford this car, I would and never have second thoughts, but budget's a little bit tight so I just opted for a car that has a good value for now, just to get us from point A to B.

2:58 Yes, pretty weird for a Front Wheel Drive car, but there is a Transmission Tunnel because the 2, or specifically the Demio in the Japanese market, has an option to be equipped with AWD. I guess to save money, they didn't design a different cabin floor for countries they don't sell AWD variants to.

Price wise, this is the best bang for buck car in its segment. Imagine the Yaris and City going for a mil plus in similar spec. It may not have the most powerful engine nor the most spacious cabin but what's going for it is its sublime handling and perfect balance between performance and comfort. Also, with the updated fascia, Mazda achieved another balance between timeless elegance and playful curves both inside and out. Gone is the boy racer look of the previous iteration. Replaced by a more restrained and cohesive design.

The Mazda 2 doesnt have a similar spec with the Honda City. The Honda City has Side and Curtain Airbags, Front Center Arm rest, Rear aircon vents, rear charging point, rear center arm rest, rear door bottle holders and Alcantara leather seats, all of which are absent in the Mazda 2.

@@paolosy1293 , apologies for the misunderstanding. I should have said the 3 hatchbacks are in a similar category. I agree that it's not an apples to apples comparison when it comes to spec especially since the Mazda 2 is more focused on performance than amenities. It may not have all the toys mentioned above. It may also be the oldest platform of the 3. But for P120,000 difference, I'd take the G-Vectoring Plus system, 6-speed A/T, and performance oriented chassis any day. Also, though subjective, the 2 is the best looking car of the 3. But at the end of the day, it all boils down to what you really enjoy driving/having. Which for me, it is the Mazda. By the way, if you add the P50,000 discount Mazda gave, it would be a P170,000 difference and a 5-year free PMS as a bonus. To which no other manufacturers of this segment offers. So yes, it is not similiar in spec.
