I like it. I think there is no better small SUV on the market (and no, the RSQ3 for me is not on that level). I dont know what do you want and expect from a GLA45? Its a small SUV with sport DNA and that is exactly what it should be and what buyers expect it to be. The GLB is quite longer, so the handling is less good as in the GLA. Who buys a GLA45? Someone who likes a bit of more practicality and likes or needs to sit a little higher, yet still likes power and good acceleration. Or as me (who drives a V12 BiTurbo), who would buy such car for my retired parents: they got their mini SUV, which they can park everywhere, which has large windows - so visibility is good, which handling is simple, getting in and out is easy, where they can drive their dog - but when i take the car sometimes, i still can have fun with it and be faster as 90 % of other todays cars :) See? there are customers for that kind of car :) The same story could be, that the car is for a modern mom, which drives to the shops and their kids, the husband drives a 911 - so it the whole family goes somewhere on a trip, they have to take the GLA. And because daddy dont want to have only a GLA250, where even a Golf GTI is faster on the Autobahn, they have the GLA45s ;)

Considering for us US customers that’s the closet we get to an AMG hatchback or A/C series wagon. So it’s a huge compromise that we can’t get around. Same could be said for BMW and Audi class competitors.

Good question. PS and HP is actually the same thing. PS literally means Pferdestärke which is the German translation of horsepower. That’s why engine power is supposed to be given in kW which is a metric unit of kilojoules per second and physically useful.
