Hey awesome drive! Quick question, would you prefer this or the X7 M50i? I know this is a bit quicker but in all honesty if I were to rarely use the extra power do you think it's worth stepping up to something like the GLS63?

I’m glad you enjoyed it! Great question. I love the X7 M50i and if it comes down to saving several thousand bucks, you really won’t be disappointed with that one. However, if money is no object, the GLS 63 is incredible. The performance, comfort, and tech is a cut above.

only if you can do a night drive and show some of the headlight features in a very very dark road or a canyon it will be amazing especially with Multibeam and Matrix headlights from Audi and Merc. :)

How is the ride comfort compared to a GLS 550?

The air suspension keeps the ride very supple. I haven’t had a chance to drive the 480 or 580, but I doubt it’s much harsher at all in the 63

What is that abrupt noise that the vehicle makes when you press the brakes and come to a complete stop ?I heard it first at *3:43 then at *4:23 and then at *5:24. Is that the clamping noise that it makes? Is that just a normal noise that those huge brakes make on this vehicle? From my research on this vehicle, I know that there are 15.7 inch drilled roaders with giant 6 piston calipers in the front and 14.6 inch roaders with single piston calipers with a one piece roader in the rear.

You guessed correctly. It’s the massive front brakes clamping down fully and bringing a nearly 6000-lb vehicle to a stop. You get used to it quickly, though.
