Wrong, I care about rear aircon vents a lot and the deal-breaker is the lack of in both non AMG A class and GLA class

As a retiree of late 50s, I would get a CKD VW Tiguan which is cheaper, more spacious and compatible in performance. I agree Benz has that prestige, but for practicality, I go for VW.

For 285k, the Lexus UX200 Luxury line which is priced around the same ballpark offers more kit. One might argue on the weak engine but as many people pointed out, customers in this segment aren't gonna make much fuss about outright acceleration. If you want more firepower, there's the XC40 which is also a great buy with 30k spare change into your pocket.

I'm used to not a fan of these Merc compact cars including this GLA, A Class and B Class. They were lacking in so many aspects but the big bold 3 star badge, these cars were ruining Merc posh brand image. But the latest generation of these cars have improved tremendously, inside out. The interior of these cars especially blows other cars in this price range, it's impressive. Not to mention the technology is immense, could be a bit intimidating to older users but considering the target audience for these cars (young peoples) this should be big selling point. The cars also as a whole have been refined especially the drivetrain and ride quality as noted by Adrian. Although if given choice, I prefer A hatch than GLA. My 2 cents :D

Adrian, another good one. Love the part of your cabin review. Makes one want to get it now! Of course, your iconic tennis-balls 👍. Personally, the car looks good exterior & interior except that horizontal Benz logo (a bit oversize?) and the rather thick chrome bar across the grill......maybe need some getting used to?

Test drove one today. Entry model(gla200) is not electric nor heated seats and that shoe opening with the boot is not standard. Its all extra. For such a price, really?

What a screw up GERMAN GLA Benz without rear AIRCON & arm rest....you pay so much yet you get very little. People would say ho I compare with X70 but the real facts is, it's got all the superb features like IONIZER, REAR AIRCON, NICE ARM REST, USB PORT ETC....SO no way this bloody GLA compare with X70....and of course it's got TURBO POWER as well.
